so what are your recommendations for a 400w light system? I need something that will stay cool. I was looking at cool tubs and others. That do you think of this: 400W HPS/MH Digital Ballast, Bulb and Deluxe Reflector Combo , 400W HPS/MH Digital Ballast, Bulb and Glass Tube Reflector Combo

so what give me some advise people. Looking for good kit that will stay cool or easy to cool. i will be putting the light in a grow tent up in a attic.

Personally, I would go with the second one, and pull air in from outside the tent and the house and vent it out of the house too.. How hot is it going to get in that attic? Maybe you could put one of these mobile AC's from Lowes or Home Depot in there and vent it at the same time....

Hey leap270,Good chioces there,I would go with the first one.The reflector is better than the cool tubes.I have a cool tube in my cab and love it in there.But the thing is it's in a small space and the light is reflected back down on the plants.With the first reflector all the light is reflcted down on the plants with better coverage.The 400watter the heat is a little easyer to control.The more watts the biger the fans to keep them cool.Also think about the light lifters,I love them it's 10 times easyer to raise and lower the light with them and they are around &25.00 bucks.I have a outlet for fans and they are alot cheaper than hydro stores.I have using them now for 1-1/2 years now and no trouble.PM me and I will hook you up.Peace

yea i really like the first one two. but i was wonder is the first one a incline cool tube inside the reflector? meaning is like a cool tube inside a reflector?

You really cant make a mistake on those two lights. I own a couple of the the cool tube version myself. The cooltube fits my grow room design best.

Whichever one you choose, you should buy this to cool it, and heat will never be a problem.

COOLTUBE with a centrifical fan. Pull cool air from some where outside your grow space and and vent the hot air outside also. I get my cool from under the house.
