Rep Power: 500 | | herbalaire vaporizer Product Review – The HerbaAire H2.1 Vaporizer http://www.herbalaire.com/ I was looking for a Vap two reasons. First the smell of burnt MJ lingers for days and stinks up the house. Secondly and perhaps more importantly….repiratory health! The studies by Normal and MAPS show clearly that vaporizing delivers THC as effectively as smoking, but eliminates or drastically reduces carcinogens and other toxins that result from combustion. Google - Cannabis Vaporizer Combines Efficient Delivery of THC with Effective Suppression of Pyrolytic Compounds if you want all the science supporting this. Next was selecting a Vap….The Volcano was an easy choice based on positive reviews…but the price was a bit out of my range. After lots of web searching it seemed that many people were equally satisfied with the HerbalAire ($250) so I ordered it at half the price of the Volcano ($500+) I was very pleasantly surprised when the product arrived. Packed with everything you might need (except MJ) and with plenty of support material directions. I was up and vaping in no time. Some things I really like about the unit- Small size easy to handle
- Very long cord easy to move around
- Very accurate temp control over a wide range – I like to vap at 375 F
- Auto shutdown…..great for the oblivious stoned person
- Balloon storage….works well.
One thing I may not like- The pump was kind of loud…I may go to the petshop and get something wisper quiet…the pump is also slow in filling the balloon…but I think that is a good thing.
My lungs feel much better…the house smells better…and I actually use ¼ to 2/3 as much MJ to get the same effects…actually similar effects…vaping seems a bit more cerebral and a bit less couch-locked…especially at temps lower than 365F. Note - Vaping doesn’t entirely eliminate lung and mucus membrane irritation (even pure THC as a vapor is a lung irritant) but it does DRASTICALLY reduce it. I am very pleased with the product and just wanted to pass that on to the helpful members at GP (i did end up getting a quiet pump for a few buck and now it is everything I wanted from a vap 12/19/08)

Check Ebay for volcanoes. That is where I got mine. New ones were selling for around $350 and that included shipping.

Rep Power: 500 | | update about 4 months later
an update on this vaporizor
The bags wore out after about 3 months..they get tiny leaks, but can be replaced or DIY with cooking bags. I did get a much quieter pump and that is nice for only 8 bucks...all in all I am still very happy with it and still recommend it highly

Hmmm, does it require more tinkering than a vapir?

what do you mean by tinkering? It works out of the box and doesn't require anything to get started 'cept MJ...I just got the super quiet pump because I like it better....and the bags only needed replacing after months of daily use...if that is what you meant.

Volcano is 1 star, No Pb, but always also expensive…

I've seen the Volcano's for as cheap as $325. The $500+ price comes with the handy carrying case. The HerbalAire may be a good machine but I've seen the Volcano in action first hand and I'm not sure there is anything out there that compares. And this Attachment I got for Mogie's birthday kinda makes the whole bag thing obsolete.
