A special coating of titanium dioxide is what gives Fresh2 the ability to break down odors. When the surface of this coating is exposed to fluorescent light, a photocatalytic action occurs. The reaction emits electrons - negatively charged particles - and simultaneously,positively charged holes form in their place on the glass surface. This creates very strong oxidizers that completely break down odors. Purifying begins to work 10 minutes after the bulb is turned on. Use in standard medium base sockets (i.e. in a standard household lamp).

I've seen these around before. Always wondered about their odor-eliminating efficacy. It just seems that a 23w bulb can't have that much effect...but if you load up a CFL grow or supplement with several of them, I could see it working. A bit on the pricey side to fill a CFL grow with 'em, though.
