Looks good but not energy star efficient, how much juice does it use. If you insulate your attic and use this so it wouldnt have to run as much..Just a thought

hmm yea thats true, it would probably cost more to insulate the attic it draws 12 amps eek hahahah thats like 1300 watts but it dehumidifies and cools, such a beast

nice
...always got a good chuckle if they advertise an A/C unit to be also a dehumidifier of cause it is one - the first A/C was build into an paper plant just to reduce the humidity and not the heat, that is just been a nice side effect to it
and if you attract a few aptenodytes patagonicuses with that thing don't come complaining to us, i told you that one just in time yet

You might find it cheaper in the long run to insulate, Hobo. It is not that much and just the electricity is going to cost you. Get the baby, of course,if you want it, it is a nice toy, but it will cut all your costs just to insulate. Even if you have to do it in stages. One part of the roof this year, the next next year. And it stays with you forever and will cut your fuel costs. And your electricity bills. We don't know where things like power are going as far as fees go. Never mind heating costs. Here this year alone our oil for heating has been over 6 grand for the winter. And it is not going down. Nor is it done yet as I have to keep our house heated for my mum. She is 85 and tiny so she feels the cold. Just my opinion though. A good insulation job will cut air conditioning bills as well as heating bills.

i hear you, but insulating it, would involve clearing out the intire room, which is almost impossible, those tables were built inside the attic, the only time they are coming down will be in pieces, and i would only need to run the AC on the hottest of days, not year round. Quote:

I am sorry but I disagree. If you are putting up batts of insulation you can do it one at a time with the cut batts outside the room. It would be time consuming, and maybe I am wrong, but if you put one batt up, over your tables, a bit at a time, like a grain of sand out of a mountain, soon the mountain would be gone, and so with your insulating. We did that in my mums roof, it is a small crawl space and I was the only one that fit up there. So one batt at a time, with me up there sweating my head off, a bit by bit it got it done. Then with the moisture barrier too, a bit at a time, slowly, it got done and cut the heat bills a major amount. Maybe when you shift your plants around or don't have any flowering. I am just making a suggestion but hey, it worked for us. I know it is a pain to do but it ended up saving a lot of money.

Ya sure. After I do the main part of the house and fight off the raccoons that live up there! Hey if you are renting then of course, don't bother. But if you DID own it that is the first thing I would do. Didn't know you where renting. Then of course get the machine. It is a good investment and you will always have it. See if you can find one more environmentally freindly though. Just me. Not important if it is what you want.
