looks like it would work fairly well to me. Not sure i would still wanna smoke while i trim with giant power shears going like that but if you can get it done way faster that way i guess it could balance out.

I am well beyond the point where trimming was "Fun" but i'm not ready to invest in a power trimmer. This one certainly looks affordable compared to many of the auto trimmers i have seen before but it also scares me alot more. I remember seeing a link someone posted before to a bonsai trimmer that resembled a pair of hair clippers but with larger teeth the the hair trimmers. I just can't find the link! I think it was somewhere on amazon but i searched for it and no luck.

I've seen them but my $10 ones do OK and save me $300
