Hey Everybody,I know most poeple get there pumps from wal-mart and pet stores and they work well for a few years and longer.Well over time I have bought many from two outlets pumps for 100 gal fish tanks to 30 gal pumps.I broke down and got a commercial air pump.the ECO-Plus.It puts out 38 liters of air per minute at 18 watts. They offer three size pumps from 18 watt 35,and 80 watt models.I paid $40.00 for it and I can say it dose the job very well. It's not as quit as you would hope for,but it's not that loud either.I'am very pleased with it so far. It's comes with a 4 line outlet and the 3/8" hose to hook ed them to your airstones. In the pick there a 5" and a 4" stone in the bucket. One thing I learned is to use the same size airstones in all the bucket or res tanks. The smaller stones have less resistance then the bigger ones.Which the air will flow more thourgh the small stones when you have a big stone and a small one in the same res.The bigger stone will not work to it's fullest. You will find that the blue silcone tubing works better then the clear vinly tubing. The next air stone I buy is going to be the Mirco-pore glass air diffuser. They dont get cloged up and you can clean them. Here's the pixs. Peace

High toke.. it took me months to: First, find this thread and then find, locate, buy and put into place that micro air.. air defuser you mentioned>>>>>>>>>>>>> THANK YOU! Pond Supplies, Aquarium Air Pumps, Aeration Tubing, Biological Filter, Pond Skimmer
12 inch @ $17.00 they say they are washable; so are my underwear... we'll see.... LOL but THEY MOVE SOME WATER!
Hooked that baby to an 18 w air pump and it is churning 20 gallons of res juice. The pump seemS quieter too.. maybe less restriction, used to use air curtains.. 6 @$5 each = $30/res and they didn't last 3 grows... 1/5th the water movement...

The nice thing about the glass stones is you can clean them with clr lime and calcium deposet just from water and nutr. When you need to clean the stone dip it in clr and with a tooth brush clean it and resin with filtered water{no chlorine} let it dry and you are back in the green.Soon as I can aford it I'am getting the 80W pump.I want to run my flood pipe and 4 dwc buckets and my bubble cloner with the one pump. One eletric outlet for one pump, doing away with 3 pumps and 2 outlets.I'll use a 12 outlet air valve controler to open or close, 1/2 close any one air line given me control over how much and where. Peace

High toke, bozo.. good thoughts thanks.. I'm hooked on the glass stone. I been doing this for almost 3 years now and I read alot but have only read about them here! GP Good.
CLR! Majic stuff. I'm guessing you clean after each res change!?
I clean my shower-head with CLR.
Hey bozo.. what are those pineapple slice looking thingys ya got your clones (seedlings?) in, in those blue cups? (I'm gonna learn something new again!)

Hey 4maggio, No not after every res change, just when they start getting to look and have build up.Most of the time I raise them and clean with clr as they need it.That pump puts out alot and is smooth running. How many stones can you run on her? Peace

High toke.. I've only put the one 12" GS on it.. I'm thinking in E&F that's more than enough.. 20 gal res temps in the 65-66 range.
I'm thinking, I'm in a good place..
Do you have any idea how much I spent on air curtains!!?? @ $5+ each, using 6 in each grow!
I know it's only $30 (every 3 months!) but they didn't move 1/2 as much water with the same pump.
Hooked on glass!

Hey bozo.. what are those pineapple slice looking thingys ya got your clones (seedlings?) in, in those blue cups? (I'm gonna learn something new again!) | hey bro, sorry i didn't get back to ya sooner but Cox is my ISP and, with the
lousy, intermittent service they give me, i think they should change their name
to 'Sux' as that is much closer to the mark.
anyway, lol, those pineapple slices are actually pool noodle slices! i used them
to put some extra clones in that wouldn't fit into my bubbler, so i used
one of my DWC's as a bubble cloner temporarily. without the noodle slices
the clones would have fallen through into the res.
