Two Book Recommendations
I have decided to use some of my time lately to try to deepen my education about Cannabis. I do have a good grasp of the fundamentals, but still I am feeling the need to take it deeper. Simultaneously I wanted to put together a primmer on Cannabis Propagation just to see if I could do a good job and produce something useful to others. Pullo has graciously agreed to work with me and I believe we may have something of substance down the road.
So I began outlining and drafting and editing and checking reliable sources. Then I came across two books that together seem to be saying exactly what I wanted to say…with more detail and skill than I can muster
If you are interested in learning more about things like genetics, breading, botanical terms, history, and the impact of so many breeders working with so many strains on the future of Cannabis….then get these two books together and have yourself a ball. At the very least you will grow in your appreciation of the remarkable details involved in the sexual and asexual reproduction of Cannabis and your knowledge of the skills needed for basic propagation techniques
The two books are sort of classics in the mj community
The Cannabis Breeder's Bible: The Definitive Guide to Marijuana Genetics, Cannabis Botany and Creating Strains for the Seed Market by Greg Green Breeders Bible link And Marijuana Botany: Propagation and Breeding of Distinctive Cannabis by Clarke Marijuana Botany link Books can be a bit dry. Both of these can be very “textbookish” at times. But if you are interested in this stuff and not an expert already…I think you will love them. There are limits to what one can do working with a few plants at a time in a file cabinet, but these two authors might well motivate you to explore those limits.
