Thumbs up Hemp is legal in Oregon-Go Ron Paul

Hemp legal in Oregon
Posted July 1st, 2009 by sentinel

Oregon’s House of Representatives voted Monday night to legalize the cultivation of hemp, becoming the sixth state to do so just this year.
Oregon’s Senate voted 27 to 2 in favor of the new law last week. Monday’s 46 to 11 House vote means that the measure will become law, barring an unlikely veto by Governor Ted Kulongoski.
The move is part of a rapidly growing nationwide trend to liberalize laws relating to marijuana. Hemp is a botanical cousin of marijuana, traditionally used to make clothing, rope and other durable fiber goods.
“Hemp is a versatile, environmentally-friendly crop that has not been grown in the U.S. for over fifty years because of a misguided and politicized interpretation of the nation’s drug laws by the Drug Enforcement Administration,” Vote Hemp President Eric Steenstra said in a statement.
“While a new bill in Congress, HR 1866, is a welcome step, the hemp industry is hopeful that President Obama’s administration will recognize hemp’s myriad benefits to farmers, businesses and the environment.”

While I wholeheartedly approve of this measure, has anyone given thought to medical marijuana gardens, down wind of these fields?
Outdoor growers are going to be harvesting seeded buds and those who grow indoors will be buying the best micron filters available to strain out the pollen floating through the air.

interesting angle rom and a very important point to keep in mind, especially if your in an area that this could become a real concern.

"damn hemp farmers moved in down the road, there goes my garden!"

man... if I were a farmer, I'd be swappin' over my crops first thing next season!
fiber, food and fuel... everything we need from our beautiful plant family. now if we could just get some of those idiotic politicians to take this "green movement" and actually do it for the sake of anything beyond greed and personal interest, we'd have hemp farmers all over the US within' yrs.

lets do what they do in spain: filter the intake thru an second carbon scrubber. Or more high end, a closed grow room with AC chilling it down. And even down there they still love to grow outdoors, so it isn't as bad after all.

besides, what does an unsexed guerrilla patch in the vicinity of our grow?
