Hey everyone,
Here are three excellent movies to broaden your horizons. Watch them in the order that they're listed.
The International
Into The Wild
War, inc.
All three can be downloaded from BTjunkie.com (Torrent site). If you've never used a torrent client before I would suggest using Bit Torrent. It's easy to use and has a nice graphical interface.
I recommend watching the movies in the order given but do whatever you like. I just think it's a neat little progression and finishes out somewhere in the middle of the emotional spectrum.
Enjoy,
-the Corsican.

I have seen the first two movies on the list and have them both downloaded to my computer. I really liked Into The Wild even though it's kinda sad.

Sure was. The ending was a bit brutal but it brought home a lot of the insights in the movie. Alex saw through the lie of this world and was searching for something better, living in a better way. When he was traveling around the country I was out there at the same time. I wonder if I ever passed him on a highway or missed him by a few hours in some park.

not to break up the party, admitting to internet piracy on a forum that can be read by anyone endangers not only yourself, but can compromise the security of the forum as well.

Are you serious?
Look around brother. What are at least half of the people on this forum doing? Millions, millions of people download movies everyday, some to backup copies of movies they own or may have lost. Please man, don't be a hypocrite if you can help it. And I say that in the nicest, most benign way I know how.

hypocrite? how so? .....i simply offer advice. if you would choose carelessness under the guise of the delusion that "Millions, millions of people download movies everyday...", that is your choice. i hope you do not see any troubles, but do take care to consider the odds, facts, and logic behind something, rather than not.

I'm not going to spell it out for you. If you're unwilling to see the hypocrisy in your statement then nothing I say will help to make it clear to you. It's careless to give advice where it's not wanted nor solicited. Millions of people downloading movies everyday is a fact brother, not a delusion. It tough to take your "logic" seriously after some of the things you've written. We'd both be better off if we dropped this little discussion.

-the Corsican. | I found the movie Into The Wild a bit more real then most flicks you see out there based on actual events. (I bought the DVD since I liked the story so much) Although they tried to stick to much of his writings and first hand accounts you wonder what "his" story would have sounded like. If that makes sense?
There is much to be said of a simple life. Can't put the genie back into the lamp that's the problem. Can we turn off the power, curb the cars, live without the internet? Or do we pick the things that we really need and then walk into the sunset never to be seen again?
Sorry the War Inc. movie I tried watching it a couple of times and couldn't get into it. I like John Cusack as an actor but I don't know about that movie maybe I didn't let it run long enough, not in a good mind set for it?
And The international I will still check out since you recommend it. Can't say I have heard much about it or what it's about.

Makes perfect sense to me. Hollywood has a way of "stretching" the truth. I liked the self portrait at the end of the film, it showed some of his spirit in a good way. I think you're right, the genie has left the bottle and we aren't going to be able to make things right, at least not anytime soon.
I watched War, inc. in two stages for the same reason. I couldn't take it all at once. Kind of hard to get into but the satyr was excellent. Not a great movie by any means but it portrayed our government being run by the large corporations very accurately (fascism according to Mussolini and he should know).
The International is a good movie and I think you'll dig it. The main reason I recommended the International was because it nailed the way the system works and who is running the show (up to a point). Good actors and a good story. I think you'll enjoy it and it might spur you on to do a little research on the subject matter of the movie. If so I would recommend learning about the Rothschild family.

enlighten me as to why you have written these things.
if someone told you to take an umbrella with you because it may rain, would you be as abrasive to them as you have been with me?
i have replied to your PM

I just thought it was obvious that's all. Most of us are adults and don't need every little thing pointed out to us. I told you exactly why it was a bit irritating in an earlier post. Who wants to be preached concerning "internet piracy"?
