I've been told the best color to aim for is 4200K(the color of the fall sun at high noon) so mix em til ya get close.

People rag on CFL's until I show then a 15 gram cola that I got from a CFL!!! see you over at yahoo answers! got some new questions up, I also "starred" yours and jangels... cant rate until im a level 2... help me out with that will ya?! I need ratings on my questions! later mon!

Not bad at all, Last summer I was using 580+ watts with a double fixture and only saw a $15.00-$20.00 in crease in my bill.
Watts are watts though, it just easier to control heat with the CFL's I think, I'm still open to all options though. Just Wait for the report on my next experiment, it should be rapped up in about 14-16 weeks.

hey johny random thought/ question do you have problems with stretching on those plants, and would side pannels make it any bigger

Additional side lighting would increase your yield,as far as stretching I kept them close to the lights to prevent some of that. I also Crimped and bent the tops to force out the tops,and created a lush bud bed of super cropping. This works best under CFL's,by stripping off the undergrowth and forcing all the growth into the tops and keep the light 4"-6" above the plants. I also used a 6" fan to move air across the tops and keep heat from bulbs away...
