OK, one month ago I was walking my kids to the bus stop. I noticed a vehicle coming fast and told my kids not to cross the road. The truck was coming fast and as it approached I waved my hands in the slow down position. I was in the middle of the road and the bastoord was not slowing down. as he passed I flipped him off. Now he stopped and backed up to me, In the middle of the road with nothing on but my robe. He stops to tell me what a bad example I was to flip him off in front of my childeren. I went off on him big time. As he drove off I realized who he was and that he was a Fireman. What a pompous ass. I called the sheriff and tracked down his boss wrote a letter to the FireChief and went to the town Hall meeting and read a letter to them that someone is going to get hurt by these idiots.
A month has passed and a knock on the door. It was the speeders wife with a plate of cookies. Oh, you mite think it was an apoligie Not it was her coning over to tell me that she forgives me. What the hell, does that even make any sence????? I told her to back up WHAT did you say, Ya I heard right she wanted me to know that she forgave me. I told her to back on up. If her Idiot husband would show consideration for pedestrians on the road this never would have happened.
Who says this kind of shiiiiit?????

I was actually thinking the opposite. I would whip up a batch of my own and go accept there unspoken apologies. Apparently that's how it works in todays world. As long as someone else "expects" that you are sorry the words don't have to even be uttered.

Too bad tracking back to the source is so simple now a days. The old Bowel cleansing cookie trick would have been beyond appropriate in this situation.

We lived on a street once reminded me of a runway, without planes but with screaming fast cars all the time. Just so there's no confusion it was a 40 kph the lowest residential speed posted. This didn't stop them.

I tried different things like politely walking out in front of them and asking them to slow down. But for repeat offenders I did something more special. I would roll out my sons old tricycle and watch them slam their brakes on and almost crash. Then, after they stopped, I would say this time the bike was alone next time a kid might be in it. That woke them up.

I always wanted to put illegal speed bumps on our road. We get vehicles going a hundred down this road. I have lost many animals. Cats mostly. My mum's little dog. Almost lost my Bella. It was kind of funny, my sweetie had just got out of the hospital after having a heart attack and I had gone with his son to do some grocery shopping and his son's dog and our young went took off after the car. Bella got hit but just bruised on one paw. The man was so upset and when My sweetie told him he had just had a heart attack the guy really freaked! He called back about 3 times to check and make sure the dog and he where okay! LOL! He kept saying to him " Oh my god! Please don't have another heart attack!"

im a animal lover also and have three cats ive had some of my babys hit and killed and have been heart broken when i have to see that but what also gos threw my head is what if it would have been a kid the bastard would be going so fast he wouldnt be able to stop.you should have told that woman to shove them cookies where the sun dont shine.the nerve of some people.

That was my immediate thought. The proper thing for this lady was to apologize for her husbands driving behavior placing your children in peril. You know she is aware of it. But instead you got the typical church holier than thou routine. You know that silly ass pasted on grin. I'm sure she was in church the following Sunday testifying (bragging) to the flock how she did her Christian duty by attempting to reach the poor wretched sinner.

You are right, they are very Mormon. I told her if she were coming on the pretence of forgiving me then I would not exept her cookies, I did not Want her forgivness, Nor would I ever ask for her forgivness, Nor would I accept her forgivness. me and my freinds use to take panty hose and fill them with raw ground meat and put a couple feathers in there, when we saw the speeder we would launch one at their windsheild. maybe that trick can be utilized with the child dummy?
