Rep Power: 2340 | | Water Powered Car Water Powered Car within Months Says Inventor American inventor Anthony Brown claims to have discovered a way to shut down a car's fuel injection system forcing them to run mostly on water.
Brown told reporters: "I get 100 miles to the ounce on water. I can run any water, distilled water, drinking water, tap water" adding, “Right now it's using a little bit of gas. If anything it's getting a fuel vapor.”
The inventor claims the system will be perfected within the next few months and that profits would be donated to missionaries around the world. | | The Following User Says Thank You to The HSIC For This Useful Post: | |

tough to believe as it takes a huge input of energy to either transform water from liquid to gas state or to crack it into 2H2 and O2 - so without any good logic explanation to this i would say this at best a bad hoax.

sorry for the sarcasm, sometimes I can't help myself...
for future readers that don't get the sarcasm...YOU CAN'T MAKE A PERPETUAL MOTION MACHINE, and of course the earth is not flat
Stangely every decade or so some poor suckers invest in the newest free-energy device (a perpetual motion machine is a free-energy device)
basically without a description of the laws of thermodynamics - you can't get lunch for free, you can't even get you moneys worth
who remembers cold fusion? same sort of deal

This is a little off topic but it reminded me of this......
i read an article about a group of college engineering students out in Texas (if i recall correct it was at Rice University) who had a competition to see who could build a car engine that could maximize the distance it could travel on 1 gallon of gas....guess how many miles these college students got cars to run off 1 gallon of gas?
........................................
the winning group's engine could run over 100 miles on 1 gallon of gas!!!!!
if these college kids can do that....why are we still running on an average 30 miles per gallon? ill tell you why....because the technology is there to allow us to not waste or burn up so much fuel with so little distance but car companies working with oil/gas companies would never allow that to happen. they want us hard working people to keep spending millions on gasoline. it is a crock of shit if ya ask me...just another conspiracy to get us to waste more money.

I bought a hibrid honda civic in 2003 when they first came out...I used to get about43 mph...not bad...but just by driving carefully and doing the speed limit I now get about 51 mph...amazing just one gallon of gas can make a regular production car go 50 miles...now I am getting OCD trying to see if I can top my own mph records...many people on the roads and hiway give me the finger...half a peace sign...for going the speed limit...at least that is why I think they are giving me the finger...I am trying to learn how to moon them while still safely controlling the car

LOL scott that is priceless my man...i do the same. the slower you drive and less you change speeds the more gas you save! my car is a 1996 V6 with a turbo...it gussies gas pretty much. i can rarely get 30 mpg...it sucks.

Herds of pot heads driving around like turtles, below the speed limit giving people "half" peace signs!! and mooning people!! I ran across a site somewhere, where a guy was using the cars electrical system to run current through a water tank to create Hydrogen gas. Which is then injected into the combustion chamber for a bigger bang, to save fuel. Nothing like free horsepower.

I have a regular 03 civic lx and it averages between 38-43 all around. Best ive gotten was 49. Not bad. I call it The gutless wonder, though. Its real slow with the tank full. Incredibly boring to drive. And boringly reliable.
