"Obituary of Common Sense."

"Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

Knowing when to come out of the rain;

Why the early bird gets the worm;

Maybe it was my fault.

"Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

"His health began to deteriorate when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations set in place - such as a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding unruly students - only worsened his condition.

"Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Tylenol, sun lotions or a bandage to a student, but could not inform parents when their daughter became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

"Common Sense suffered severely as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

"Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

"Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled on her lap, sued and was awarded a huge settlement.

"Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents Truth and Trust, by his wife Discretion, his daughter Responsibility, and his son Reason. He is survived by his three stepbrothers: I Know My Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm a Victim.

"Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you remember him share this. If not, join the majority and continue doing nothing."

EXAMPLE: A Criminal Court Judge sentenced a local man of 57 years old to 3 years in Prison Boot Camp.(that means his 3 year sentence just turned into 3 months and he's out!) He was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault upon a 5 year old boy and pled guilty per a plea agreement! Pappys thread is backed up 100% now as this is yet another great example of a lack of common sense in our society today. Now how do you think that childs life will be affected from this right along with the parents and entire family. Sickened idiots like this damage children and their families forever. Just how do you pick up those pieces and move on??????????????????

Oh yeah by the way, In another courtroom in Davenport Iowa a man was sentenced to 7 years in Prison for cultivation of 11 plants growing in his rural home. 7 years! "Justice" seems to be bound by a complete lack of common sense. These Meth heads and "cookers" are murdering people everyday and Cops would rather bust us? WTF is going wrong here!? These are very sad and angry times in the world of legislative and judicial procedures. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves as a matter of fact ya know what? They can just get their asses over in the corner and keep their noses there until they can learn to dispatch fair and impartial judgements. Oh yeah and they also lost their milk and cookie afternoon snack!

How sick is this,, It has always been the children, elderly and mentally challenged who suffer with no protection in the courts, they are suppose to be there for all us innocent ones, Common sense should tell anyone that. How dare a child be treated like this and a judge feel comfortable giving such little sentence to his assaulter. Why has this not changed, why are these so called humans not given life sentences, this child was given a life sentence when he was assaulted, He can never forget. And for us to be put away for growing what is our God given right, It is all a control thing. Nothing about human rights for the innocent, all control with no Common Sense

Yes, for sure. Here in Canada we are being told that our Old Age Pension is going to be non-existent by the time we get there. But yet the "powers that be" deemed it right and fitting to give the administration higher ups in this departement yearly "Bonuses" totally over many millions of dollars...as well as their non-sensical salaries, limos, and air planes at OUR expense and at their disposal....so tell me again why there will not be any old age pension there for me??????

Yes this is what I don't get.. Over look the courts laws, how does one live with themselves. I just have no words for it, I just don't get it

i used to believe that you only got as much justice as you could afford, no money,
no justice!

but that means there is no justice, if you are rich, you go play golf with
O.J.Simpson and that football player who just got 30 days to serve for
vehicular homicide, alcohol involved!

and if you are poor, you go to prison.

for bankrolling an illegal dog fighting operation, and the scales of justice seem a bit

places a much higher value on protecting animals than the loss of human life."
