How Much You Smoke Thread

Hello Everyone & Thanks for reading.

We've had how you smoke (joints were winning last I looked) & lots of what you smoke threads.

& Now I wanna know how bad my habit is compared to other GP readers.

So please let me know & if you wanna tell your job or age then that would be interesting too.


For what it's worth I smoke about an ounce a week (although I don't really count-- I don't weigh my crop).
Today I'm 47 ,, semi retired, working construction 6 months a year ( & 6 months unemployment "$" ) affords me what I want & that is as much free time with my kids as we collectively can handle. *s*

Also I'm a recreational user for 34 yrs or so. I have some med probs but nothing like the serious med users here.

I am in my mid 30s, and smoke roughly 1/4oz per week. I work as a software developer and smoke for pleasure, however I am pretty sure I would be on some type of anti-depressant or similar if I didn't. I know I would certainly drink a good bit more. I also try to vaporize as much as possible vs smoking.

Edit: Sorry! I just saw this was in the over 40 group. I am almost there.. LOL!

You know, you are right about that for me too. My cigs are my stress - coping mechanism for sure. And uncountable hangovers....
I've never seen a vap yet and I'm interested but the price was like 350, for the volcano with the accessories. cheap ones scare me off.

don't care about the over 40 part but couldn't find anything more appropriate & I know Lots of GPers are under 40............sorry

Around here a quarter was all i could afford a week for years , I remember when a good quarter went from 50 to 55 dollars & it upset me for charging so much and towards the end of my buying days $100 was common but I remember one summer going 150/quarter, HAHA & all those years bowling it & not sharing as much as I wanted cause I just couldn't afford to and now growing has made it an all i want thing, including sharing. I can afford to share plenty & that's why I guess an Oz a week. It could easily be a half if I stayed tight. The growing keeps life simple too cause I'm never on the hunt.

Hey Liberty! I have one of the whip style vapes made by Vapor Brothers. Have had it for 4 years or so, and never a problem. I very much recommend! Stretches the stash a bit, along with some health benefits. Also.. you are getting a pure tasty hit many times too! Not everyone likes it.. but it has a spot in my collection. I equate my collection of devices like a golfers bag.. different clubs for different situations. I am still a sucker for a good joint!

also like you, i share a LOT! ...i can't tell you how cool it is to smoke my old
friends up and have them say it's the best smoke they've ever had!

if they only knew i'd grown it in my closet, lol.

Well for me it depends what I am Medicating on.
Schwag(aint had it in better than 3 years) up to 20 grams a day(with a headache)Midgrade about half of that and primo Medicine like now i'd say not even 2 grams a day and i'm good for a solid 24 hrs. There were a few ocassions in College when me and another Sig brother would smoke out an ounce a day with ease.LOL Hey what can I say I was young and in college?LOL Those were the dam days.LOL

i got accused one time of growing,,by a local aquantaince, 20 years ago , cause of the size of the roaches I was throwing down at a party. He was right & I learned a big lesson on always being lowkey,,,,at least in front of inquiring minds.

i don't think it's arrogance man, just well deserved pride of ownership and
an outpouring of all the love that went into growing those beautiful buds!

and i agree we have to be ever vigilant as there will always be those willing to screw us over!

personally, i try to be as far under the radar as i can get, lol.

When I do have some weed I smoke more then I really need to. If it's in the house I'm high. But most of the time I don't even think about me being high as it is me and the way I have been for years, it is a part of me. I'm in my early 50s and have been smoking for nearly 40 years, Even after all this time I still do not roll a good joint so I smoke from a small handy pipe. I do want to check into a vaporizer and start getting into maybe cooking with it so to medicate myself without the strain on my lungs.

I smoke about an 8th a day...Sometime more sometimes less. I'm 35 not that it matters...after 21 it's just a number anyways

I am one of the lucky ones that has always either known a grower or have grown my own...Not that its always been primo but it's always beat the mexi brick pack hands down

I don't smoke it.

But I do make dragon, heating the bud/trim first. Sensimilla, moderate potency. If I have 1 dropperful twice a day, 6 grams of bud would last me one week. But my tolerance is low, as I am not yet a regular user.

I have vaped before, also. Sensimilla, moderate potency. If my current tolerance never went up, and I vaped three times a day, I would be using a little less than a gram a day.

That first high of the day is the best, I too have my pipe handy for morning coffee while on the computer, And the rest of the day comes natural, I think if I stopped smoking it would be then that people would wonder whats wrong with me....
