they got their parades and we got 20th of April - the thing is that despite the right of free assembly and speech in most western countries you need a permit by the gov to organize an rally or the armored up LEO will put an end to it if it been peaceful or not.
Now, as big Gov hates citizens that have an own opinion, leave alone one of their own even, getting a permit for an pro-marijuana - medical or not - can be more then challenging in our neocon world.
Gays have the advantage of political correctness, big PR funds and open support by the political "left" - and they actually fit into the neocon frame: they have quite some economical power, we heterosexuals copy their life style and spending habits for useless trash (so called metrosexuality), and they make superb scapegoats as their parades can be used over and over by the right wing neocons to point out how bad and decadent they are.

from use neocons only profit if we are turn into inmates of their private prisons they then can exploit as slave labor force - and for doing so big Gov pays them about $80,000 per enslaved citizen on top of what they already make.

so, if someone gets a parade permit for the next 420 they should point those things out:

• a prisoner cost the tax payer $80,000+ per year
• most get locked up as fully non-violent offenders
• marijuana causes no violence as legal drugs cause
• studies show repeatedly that MJ hold tremendous benefits
• they also show that MJ hold hardly any health risk
• therefor the gov is lieing to its citizen
• wasting tonnes of tax money for this lie (propaganda cost of the DEA)
• the propaganda keeps also hemp down which would deliver a stimulus to the beaten US farmers
• hemp benefits as for food, industrial (paper, fibers) and agricultural (could be used to stop ground erosion, cheap crop, regenerates grounds, better ethanol source then food crops...)

...just to name a few points

and we should try to reduce these toker stigmas that get attached to us - as it is not really from benefit for gays to run around butt naked at their parades we should try to show that we not all lazy bums and maybe show up in our business suits or something in that direction - and more old folks have to show up visibly. we have to bring the point across, which is actually a fact if you look at the latest study of the Can. Dep of Health on who is doing the toking: In majority people born in the 40's to early 70's, some kind of higher education and successful in life and community.

Right on Toke, I will whip something up, after that it's up to everyone here to do their part and print it out and distribute it as they see fit, or, well, do whatever you want with it , just put it to good use.



Green, those are excellent points! I will be using those as a theme for info and designs we can distribute.
Now, everybody that is reading this, YOU CAN HELP!!!
Do whatever you can, a design, an idea, volunteer time to to distribute these materials, or if you have a website or web page such as MySpace or something else, donate space to post these.
Either way, we are a community, a family, and I think everyone is more than aware of the fact that we can't count on anyone but each other.
You know that feeling of camaraderie you get when you meet a fellow stoner? That's what I'm talking about, it's just natural.
So, let's give each other a hand, and educate the world around us about the truth of cannabis.

Hey people, I feel complled to speak on this issue. Actually there are so many points in this thread I feel strongly about.

Allow me to tell you all, and with all due respect too, that when I do make a post, and a lucid one at that, while living in pain, as alot of us here do, I would appreciate your attention.

Pappy you mention Mogie and Green_nobody, two people very dear to my heart, yet with some subtle differences. While Mogie is a strong activist, her posting habits are bad for our site, and in fact have done more harm than good. I have tried repeatedly to work with her, but her head got too big for her britches.

As an activist who is trying to spread the word, if you merely go to another web site and copy and paste that info into GreenPassions site to share with us, it is much appreciated but...if you omit your own personal opinions at the end of the post, the post is not only worthless, but it hurts the site tremendously with the search engines. I am still working on trying to undo what she has done here.

I have nothing bad to say about copy and pasting information into our site, but please add your own opinion to it. After all it IS your opinion that counts.

While I have nothing but love for Mogie, there is no substitute for a quality post, and we all know them when we see them.

So far as Green_Nobody is concerned..I gotta ask, how many of you have actually gotten to know him? Please do tell. Cause I wanna tell ya....he frigging rocks! I have personally spent some time getting to know him over the years, and you are doing yourself a dis-service if you do not read his posts or PM him. This is a guy with unquestionable character. Thats all I got to say on that subject. Much love to you Green! Besides we share the same first name buddy! hehe

We have many quality members here, just look around and you'll see.

So far as the site GreenPassion is concerned, we are a very tight community. Built on strong beliefs and values. Our core focus of course is the legalization of the weed we have all come to know and love.
That however is such a small part or our community though, we have grown together over time. I've seen members die, I've seem 'em have babies too, I've given advice to married couples in trouble. A grow site? Damn! I don't think so, not anymore. This is life, as we choose it.
We are trying to change the world, our world, for the better.

We have all types of growers here. Lets be honest now, sure we have alot of medical users here. Some of us are just too frigging old to have to go down to the corner and score some weed from a guy of questionable character (of course he is named mole). We also have members who grow for a profit, interpet that as you choose.

In any case, you have all decided to join me here at my GreenPassion, and I am truly honored by your presence here. Obviously my time is limited, and it steals away from my being the public figure I wish I could be, but make no mistake...we are a site on a mission.

We at GreenPassion have both long and short term goals, the immediate goal(s) that I am about to undertake is I am going to put together a sizable chunk of change and donate it to www.mpp.org, a very worthy site indeed.

If I had to think of one thing that sets GreenPassion apart from the rest is, that no matter how many members we have, each member here has a voice that is actually heard, make no mistake about that.

I could go on writing about this for pages, but I dont wanna bore ya to death. So on that note.....

UPDATE: Ok, I am still working on the propaganda, so to speak, lol.
I'm taking the time to make sure it looks good as opposed to rushing it. That being said, I'm not gonna take forever either. Keep in mind this is a group effort! So, contribute!! LOL. Don't think that you have nothing to offer, be creative, or not, but post what you do so we can all see and help each other get this thing going.

In relation to the original post i half agree,i mean from coming onto this site you instantly know its aimed at medicinal users in the mainstream aswell as regular cultivators.Maybe a little more emphasis could be put on the medicinal side of things but what would you propose?

The other sections of the forum i find enjoyable as y'all prolly do.I think as long as the site is providing its members with the most up to date and/or relevant medicinal news and strains then thats a positive,the site is for learning ALL aspects aswell though but i know where you are coming from,especially being here since the beginning.Some ppl are unlucky in that they live in places where medicinal use is not available to them so i guess the forums got to also cater to their needs aswell...THE POINT IS WE ALL MJ USERS FIGHTING PROHIBITION,thats the MAIN priority and point IMHO.Peace

EDIT: I posted a medicinal strain database for my 1st post yesterday and i intend updating it over time,it was compiled by me and another grower who uses MJ medicinally,check it out.Cheers
