Now we begin the effort to educate the public.
As has been discussed in this thread.
I think it good to dub this, "The Above The Ignorance Initiative". Why?
Because for too long there have been false, inaccurate, and even slanderous
campaigns by various organizations, including our various governments.
One that comes to mind is the well known "Above the influence" malarkey that sought to further imply that "weed" is nothing more than a dangerous drug. One that will destroy one's life in every possible way.

We, of course, know that this is the personification of BS. So, it is up to us to counter this fiction with fact. Fact, what a beautiful word. It has to be recognized by everyone if it is fact, you cannot argue with fact.

So, how can we do this? This is where "The Above The Ignorance Initiative" comes into play.
By saturating the public with facts via different mediums, we can ignite a fire that will spread across the internet and beyond.

So, as for myself, I will be producing different items, graphics wise, for distribution. These will be in the form of wallpapers, avatars, ads(all different sizes), and various other images and such. That, with distribution as well, will be my contribution.

I urge everyone here to help in some way. Only you know how you can help, however it may be.

J-angel, just right-click, goto>view image, then right-click again and goto>save as...

There ya go. It's a 800x600 resolution so that it will fit most screens. The only ones that may have trouble would be widescreen monitors, but even ten you can just center the image, then make the background white.

EDIT: J-angel, I put the image in the gallery, but it is restricted in size to roughly 200x200 or so. To actually download it, just follow the instructions in in this post.

EDIT #2: I have also made this publicly available on the net here:
www.GNOME-look.org, which is a Linux site, so it should help increase awareness by driving some traffic here.

Ok, here is a second wallpaper to add to the bunch.
I am looking at this from a "clean, subtle" way to get the point across to those who don't know the truth, but have been duped by the government.

I call this one, Fact or Fiction.

I know everyone here wants to see cannabis legalized. I know that to be true.
I know that GP isn't the only pro-cannabis site on the web, I know we aren't the only stoners in the world.
But you know what, I can't believe that noone else has contributed to this.
Do you think that you have to be an artist or something to participate?
Well, if you think that, think again, because that's not so.
Anybody can contribute ANYTHING. Maybe you don't want to be a part of this because you don't want to be aligned with this particular project, that's cool, then start up one you do want to be a part of. It doesn't matter in the end, because we're all working towards the same goal. Remember this is for the greater good.
And if you're one of those types that think, "I can't really help, cuz it's just little ole me", consider this, it takes ONE little candle to light up a room. If you think about that then think about how many stoners are in the world, let alone the members here, that's a mighty burning sun. not a candle.
If we can band together and shine bright enough and hard enough, we can make the politicians shed the corrupt laws that clothe and bind us.
We can be free.

So, pull up your bootstraps, GP, and holla if ya hear me.

People need to vote thats it.. I am a patient in Cali and I buy legal buds from the clubs which pays the leos pay check.. Sooner or later it will be legal..
