| | | Too much Fan??
Ok here is another question for the gurus.
In my small space that I using right now, I have an oscilating fan on my subjects, however the fan is not moving, just stationary.
Could this be a problem? Does not seem to be too much CFM as the plants are NOT falling down, but the leaves are breezy.
Is there such a thing as windburn on plants?
Maybe I should have an indirect breeze on the hope-to-be-girls?
Oh yeah you can see the pic of the setup here for those that have not seen it. Your thoughts please w/ pics attached.
Thanks for the expertise advice,
Sock

Ya do not want to blow them out of the dirt, no, but it is not arid in there and the fan will strengthen the stems. Just make it so that it moves them a bit at this stage, but maybe not directly on them. Can you do that? Kind of so it hits a wall and diffuses it but not directly on them? catch my drift?

I know excatly what you are saying Jangle, indirect breeze... Maybe the direct breeze is causing some of the dry brittle feeling on the leaves, windburn?
Ok making it happen now...
I hate to make too many changes at once, as then I dont really know what the problem/fix was..
But if it gets worse I will revert back..
Thanks,
Sock

Ok here is a pic of the fan change, put the fan blowing down, with white matt board redirecting breeze over subjects...

Nice improvisation, sock.
That is exactly what I would have suggested. A strong breeze will make the plants transpire more rapidly, possibly causing the leaves to feel thinner than normal. Extra watering may be necessary. Keep up the imagination. It's threads like this that may answer someone's future question.
