Ok here in the south, I try not to waste water on my lawn, but what I do is look at the individual blades of grass to determine if it needs water.
What I am looking for is the blades to start folding in, as if your were making a crease in a rolling paper, say 45 degrees, etc... The more it folds togethere the more stressed it is and need of water.
Can this sign of stress be used while looking at our plants??
I just transplanted from a very poor soil that held alot of moisture in a big container, to the commen 40/60 ratio of perlite/hyponex w/ Guano and Bone meal in a smaller container.
Now the plant looks good but upper leaves folding a little. Must get use to this very airy, well draining soil, thus most likley needs to be watered more frequently than I previously have done with the crap soil..
Thoughts, suggestions, comments...
Thanks,
Sock
