Rep Power: 312 | | Should I keep this clone???
As I take a ride with this clones' Mom, today. I wonder If I should continue with this one. Its seems to have grown a little irregular from being taken to late into flower. I have another that is growing normaly with normal looking pre-flowers. This one looks like I may have some irregular looking pre-flowers. They are 6 weeks since cut, I think, there about...anyways...ah, think they would grow out of the stress they have inccured? I also wonder about the other also... |

I guess I could trim her up a bit...and let her grow for a while...see if she straightens out. I really don't want random hermi pollen floating around...I'm more thinking how long should one continue to veg them until flower....another 4 to 6 weeks?

That is the way a plant looks when you reveg a plant. It tends to take on a weird growth pattern in the beginning of a revegging cycle. Because the clone was taken from a plant already in flower. The clone had to go back to a reveg mode ,, hence the weird growth pattern. If that makes any sense to you. Atleast that is what I have experienced and my theory of it.

You Have To Ask Yourself, Is It A Good Strain?, Do You Know Her Back Ground & Growing Habit's?
You Can Alway's Veg It A Bit Then Make Clone's Out Of It.
It Look's Healthy, Just Alittle Ir-Regular Growth, That It Should Out Grow.

Yes she really struggled to pop out there, weeks. It was a very small bud formation, that grew out to that. The lower typical branch locations, look like bumps...the whole plant looks "morfed" (spelling?). I didn't think she was going to grow for a while there...Peace. Quote:

I Thnk It Has Alot To Do With The Different Stain's, Some Just Stretch More Then Other's, & Some Don't Stretch At All.

"
The concept of clone does not mean that all members of the clone will necessarily appear identical in all characteristics. The phenotype that we observe in an individual is influenced by its surroundings. Therefore, members of the clone will develop differently under varying environmental conditions. These influences do not affect genotype and therefore are not permanent. Cloning theoretically can pre serve a genotype forever. Vigor may slowly decline due to poor selection of clone material or the constant pressure of disease or environmental stress, but this trend will re verse if the pressures are removed. Shifts in genetic composition occasionally occur during selection for vigorous growth. However, if parental strains are maintained by in frequent cloning this is less likely. Only mutation of a gene in a vegetative cell that then divides and passes on the mutated gene will permanently affect the genotype of the clone. If this mutated portion is cloned or reproduced sexually, the mutant genotype will be further replicated. Mutations in clones usually affect dominance relations and are therefore noticed immediately. Mutations may be induced artificially (but without much predictability) by treating meristematic regions with X-rays, colchicine, or other mutagens."
From: Asexual Propagation Marijuana Botany Chapter 2 - Propagation of Cannabis
Now If I'm reading this right, then if the mother hermied before the clone was taken...then these clones are to be passed the mutation?
