Rep Power: 83 | | Question on how to flush plants that cannot be moved
Hey all
Dealing with a situation - have to do a flush ... the plant cannot be moved (cannot raise it due to height issues, cannot move it due to its location - trust me, don't want to get into too much detail about it). Also, I cannot allow the water to run through the plant and drain on the ground.
Plant is about 8 feet, but LST'd at about 6 inches out of the soil and runs sideways 7.5 feet.
I've thought about trying to put the pot in an industrial strength garbage bag, put a small water pump in the bottom of the bag and then pump it out of the bag into 5 or 10 gal container - failing that - the ghetto plan was rip a hole in a corner and then try to control the drain that way?
Been scratching my head over this for a few days, reading up a bunch ... any tips or links to read?

First off, tell me WHY you need to flush it? I do not flush my plants. I have never had the need to, as I use organic soil additions, as well as organic nutes. These do not build up in the soil as chemical nutrients do.
The only reason to HAVE to flush a plant is to clear the built up nutes in the soil. If you do not have this problem, then you do not need to flush. The last 10 days to 3 weeks, I just give water and black strap molasses to my plants. I wait till the trichs start to cloud, then just water and molasses to clean out the nitrogen from the plant. Makes for a smoother smoke.
Let me know the WHY and I will see what I can think of for you.
Peace

Rep Power: 201 | | Flushing made simple I know the answer to this one. I've never had a 6" tall 7'5' wide relative who couldn't flush, but I had a 4' tall, 4' wide aunt who couldn't flush... and since they both add up to 8'. It must be the same answer... Reach in the tank behind her and pull up the flapper. Just be careful my friend Peace. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Zigzagman For This Useful Post: | |

Keep pouring the water through and use a wet shop vac to clear water in tray

Though it's hijacking my own thread ... http://www.greenpassion.org/images/s...eysmoke7po.gif is what appears when you right click and get the properties of the image ... just rename another image that same name and copy it to the 'smilies' folder. If you can't find the reference in the code ... the just change the image that it loads. *shrug*
