Default Leafs` yellowing

Hi guys, here`s the problem.I changed my light from CFL to HPS for the first time and I made massive mistake miscalculating growing space. I gave my plants 6 gals pots as always but forgot bout the heat produced by lamp. So my plants stopped growing bout 25-30 cm (10 in. I think) from bulb. I use fan of course. I also changed flow nuts at the end of 3d week of flowering cos I simply run out of those I used and couldn`t get new supply as I wrote in other post.I used Bio-Bloom 2.0-6.0-3.5 and now am using organic Iguana 4-3-6. problem with yellowing had started before I changed nuts. leafs closest to light started getting more and more yellow and finally began drying. You can see the situation on pictures. The problem is,that av got 4 plants and only 2 of them get yellow. also not all the branches of the same plant are dying - mostly those that are exposed to closely to light. they`re at the beginning of 5th week of flowering. My feeling is they`re too close to light and the light is too strong for them( but it`s only 400W HPS.) any suggestions?

sounds like it but doesn't look like light burn. tips are not all rolling up and serrations would be rolling up as well.

this yet looks rather like they running low on nitrogen and as they are in flower and you feed em that way i would suggest to add a bit veg fertilizer to the mix to get em a bit more nitrogen to grow green again.
If this doesn't stop the yellowing leach the soil, re-calibrated your meter and check the check that you water em with the right pH, as this then could also be a lock-out.

and if you need head space but can't move the HPS up any further tie the plants down sideways, like bending them down as in LST

Thanks Green_nobody, introduced veg nuts yesterday.just one more question since av never encountered this problem before do you think I should keep that yellowing branches if they don`t show any improvement or maybe I should cut them down leaving the healthy ones?thx

cut them down imo. thats debatable, but from my understanding the plant will spend a great deal of energy to repair damaged foliage rather than it can potentially use energy to focus on new growth.

bend and tie em down, works best shortly after you watered them and they had a few minutes to soak it up.

if you afraid of the string or wire cutting the stem you could use a clothespin or a strip from an old t-shirt and tie that around the stem to spread out the pressure and reduce the risk of damage.

dude@! your burning the shit outa them...they need to be 20 inches away from the light minimum unless you are seriously air cooling your reflector with some good fans and cold outside air. i had the same problem before...my girls tripled in size and almost hit the ceiling...def over-vegged them. live and learn

Hi Ice,thanks for reply. You`re right I torture them with that light and I kept them in veg for too long.I try to cool the whole growing space as much as possible, but it seems this grow is lost.As I said - lesson learnt. Thanks a lot.
