Rep Power: 90 | | 5 weeks in flower, leaves curling and yellow.
Hi guys, the leaves on my Jack Flash plants are starting to curl down slightly and go yellow. At the mo it only seems to be the fan leaves and some of the ones getting less light. Its happening on my other plants too, not sure of the strain, but they are much more bush-like than the others, and like the Jack Flash, is only happening on the bigger leaves and the ones further in that are getting less light. These ones in particular have had Mg and Ph probs in the past but that was sorted. Not sure if its hjappening again, or wether its a Nitro problem.
Thanks for taking the time to read and help.
Hope everyone is cool out there in planet pot. Keep on tokin'. Peace.

Von,
It is typical for some of the fan leaves (or most) to yellow out during the flowering phase, generally beginning about this time. Think of it as an outdoor bush in the Fall (condictions you have created by light manipulation). In the Fall the leaves yellow and drop off of trees, etc. Pretty typical.
What nutes are you feeding, and how often?
For the lower down fan leaves once they yellow out I remove them. As it continues, I remove more, as needed, but not until they need to be removed. If it becomes a real issue for you I might suggest ading just a bit of nitrogen based fert (veg fert) to your feeding, but in all honesty I woldn't go adding extra N that late in the "game"...better to let them clean out that nitrogen as it flowers. You don't want any more N in your bud than has to be.
Can you post some pics of the plants?

Hi, thanks for that. Im currently using Ionic Nutrient solution, 5ml per litre all the infos on the web if you need it. ( www.growthtechnology.com). It doesn't tell you specifics on the bottle. They get fed about every 3-4 days, or when they start to look like they need it. I am about to start using the Boost nutrients, which contain P and K. Iv'e been doing it this way since i started in mid Feb and its worked really well.
I kind of thought it might be something to do with the natural cycle of plant life but ive been caught out before with Ph and Mg so i though it might be the start of that again or something else like lack of Nitrogen.
Also if im really pickie, the smaller leaves around the buds are still dark green, but are curling downwards too.I cant get any pics good enough to show you coz my camera ain't good enough.
Over to you!!!!!

Ok ive defs got majo9r problems here folks, all the leaves are starting to turn yellow and are curling downwards and inwards. Some of the tips are turning yellow too. Im getting realy worried now as were only a matter of weeks to the finished result. Possable explinations are, Over fert, (yellow tips), and lacks of Sulphur and Iron, (yellowing of middle and top leaves). This info came from Cannabis Nutrient and Deficiency Table
What do you think guys?

By now, they are at about 7 weeks into flower. I'm not familiar with the strain, but most indicas finish at about 8 weeks. Some plants turn completely yellow, except for the bud, from using stored nitrogen. This is normal. Without pictures, it is very difficult to diagnose. If you have an 8 or 9 week finisher, it is probably too late to do anything about it.

Pappy, they are 8 - 10 week flowering plants, and im in about week 8. Just worried coz the new leaf is going yellow quick, and I dont want it to spread to the flowers. Great looking grow Von!
Have you flushed (leached) these plants yet? They are due if they are in soil, so I would give them a good leaching and then hit them with the carbs (molasses).
Looking AWESOME! Yeah...they aren't the pretty gals they used to be, but...DAMN! look at those fat colas!
You done good... Plants are fine...just flush 'em and finish 'em..they will be fine. I would be concerned if I flowerd a plant and it didn't yellow out at the end of it's life...that would mean the plant has not used all the energy that has been stored up, including the nitrogen, which I don't want in my smoke.
