Default Water-cloning

cloning the cheap man's way, dirt cheap!

What you will need:
-A mother-plant to cut clones from
-sharp knife/razor blade
-drinking cups (PE/PP/ or styro) don't use clear ones!!
-maybe some alcohol to clean the tools, i figured that it is actually not needed really, so i don't do it anymore.
-food wrap/kitchen wrap
-water
(-maybe a cloning agent, but it is not needed really)
-shady and not to cool spot to have them sit
-4-6 weeks time

What to do:
-first step is to get your mother-plant out of the grow
-find potential good shots to cut off, note that even a single fan leave is good but it needs a long stem to root well and it takes longer to grow later on. Perfect would be a cutting consisting of branch with a node and 2-3 leaves, those are the best on the job.
-clean your tools with some alcohol, the high the prof the better, and it ain't for drinking
-fill the cubs with water and put some food wrap over them, make a hole into the wrap from the size of the stem of the clone.
-make a cut in a 45° angle of steeper, this is to create surface to draw water into the clone.
-put the clones somewhere shady and warm and let em root.

thanks for the cool post man. How long till you see roots with this method? I notice a lot of people using methods that take weeks to root, and I wonder why, considering there are extremely easy methods out there to root in 7 days or less. I'm not saying your method is one of them, just curious as to how long to root as you said up top you need 4-6 weeks time! That is far too long for me considering a perpetual harvest.

okay, it toke that long since i wait longer the actually needed to get massive root structure to work with, and secondly since the place where those been standing was way to cold. at 85°F you will be a quickly done probably as with one of the cloning systems you can buy for 50+bucks.

they are a nice gimic to play with and waste money on, a cup and some wrap do the same job just as good, even without cloning hormone. besides, gel tents to block the water out, that is why people using it need to mist that much, i hardly ever mist my clones since i work with powder.

i did it, without a bud in the cutting and in my case the only thing that grew was mold... so it is difficult, by now i would say that the effort to do this stunt is bigger then revegging a plant...
