anyone ever try this, i am a believer after one harvest doing this. i have to do it because i don't have the vertical space... but i could see why someone would want to do this anyway.

You can tie the plant down to itself, or get some sort of object to tie it to.

I wonder, could you get miniature weights with velcro straps to hold them on that you could attach to branches to weigh them down? hmm...

edit: like the same concept but using gravity to direct the branches down and out to make it more bushy....

maybe, but the idea is to pull on it slowly day by day, so its not to stress the plant too much. you'll come up with something

i might try an experiment down the line (next grow) on a couple plants using small weights to strengthen every out-stemming branch... that'd be awesome if they got nice and thick, providing more nutrients to the buds once they start growing...

Another way is to bend the main stem. Just squeeze it where you want the bend, and bend it over. It doesn't break in two, just makes a sharp bend. The growing tip will reach for the light in a day or two. I have done this many times without any problems. I have even done it a month into flowering. The main cola looks a little strange, but it's just as good.

I had actually planned on doing like 2-3 plants in my space, and doing a combination of bending and pruning to turn the main stem over and then have the one side of big branches just reaching straight up from the stem. Sort of like a SoG with only a few plants, heh.

Deciding to go with the DWC kinda cancelled that plan, but I may try it one of these days yet...

I do like your bend method, though. It works well in your space.
