ok now that i have your attention, i figure i would clear up this common myth. THC does not get you high, now i know that im going to get alot of argument out of this but this is science people.

THC is more important than CBD's correct? Wrong. both are located in the resin glands or Trichomes. Well i have put more research into the effects of marijuana than anyone else my age that i have ever met or conversed with.

Your body produces small trace amounts of CBD's that helps control your emotions < happiness> THC OPENS these receptors so that you can better process these CBDS

now this is where the fun starts the THC opens the receptors and the CBD's FLOOD your brain, thus producing the "stone". so all THC does is to help you better process the CBD's.

so in closing you need both THC and CBD's to get high. both are important.

you sure about that moonbiscuit? then how will that account for the affects of bud with different thc/cbd ratios?

i'm not attacking your statement in any way just wanting to know where this came from. in one of the recent documentaries i saw.. i no tsure the name (maybe marijuana the evil weed... the presentator was an addictions expert i think). theres a part where they discuss the different ratios of thc/cbd and how this affects the brain/body etc, they talk about depressant/antidepressant capabilities of the different ratios. but theres no mention of what you just said.

it makes sense though, but i havent heard this before...

sorry. but i like to know sourses of info like this.

i also know thc breaks down into cbd,,... or vice versa. but also synthetic thc has no cbd in it and it gets you high also... how would this correlate with your(?) theory?

i actually remember reading this in a book that was in my school library. i will try to find a site with this on here, and one thing i did mess it up a little bit. thc does help to get you high but im pretty sure it was more of a once your body senses thc it starts to put out a lot more of its own CBDs. like i said im recalling this from a book that was in my school library, but most studies correlate with this. and ive never had any expereince with fake thc but ive read many reports of people saying it just makes them sick.

oh and ileso to answer your previous question, the thc correlates to the CBD's directly because the more thc the more of those receptors in the brain open up and more CBD's get through.

I use marinol - synthetic THC. It gets you high as a kite - if you take 30 - 50 mg.

Well it's all about THC for me. Need it for a successful cure for cancer via oil. Kind of wish I could eliminate most of the CBD's and just keep the THC, that's with the assumption you're statement is correct. Then one could take their oil medicine and not worry about couchlock stones or other high anomalies.

I think we all will find a that this info is rapidly changing

While I myself am not a researcher, I have trained as one...enough to know that it takes quite some time and plenty of grade A research to build a consensus understanding of newly discovered biochemical pathways.

I am afraid to date that well funded quality research by competent scientist and doctor types is very scant...part of the political social environment we all hope to change.

I think ileso's point is well taken....document your finding with footnotes....it helps those nerdly types like myself to see what kind of research and studies where carried out and how reliable they may be.

It is a shame how much info get's into public discourse as fact when it is based on scant or unreliable studies.

This phenomenon is why eggs are good one year and bad another...same for coffee..and wine...and chocolate

huge claim are based on studies of a few people and not replicated by independent researchers...happens all the time...just watch the news tonight, I am sure you will see something like that.

this is one of the positive parts of legalization and common acceptance in general...lets figure out what it is in this plant that gets the effect and make it as pure as possible right? i mean think of it this way...if people can freebase the coca plant then why cant we freebase weed?

i dont know if this is what you are looking for,but marijuana man{{BC-3} {greg willaims did a pisce on this very same thing you are talking about.Look on POT-TV and look for his video's.He did a nice job getting the point across.When the sicence are aloud to reserach MJ to it's fullest than we will know for sure.You can bet that drug companys have and do know that if it's legal they would lose about half of there $100.00 a pill drugs.That go's back to the 1930's when the Hurst and the dupoud's and the Food&drug admir were testing MJ.Dupouts and the hurst's had more money to use and there sciences found that the plant would cut there buieness in half.they got together and had this man umsinger to start the propaganda,reefer madness.That stoped all testing of mj.Dupond sciences found that the oil of the plant can be use for ink and pigments and other things too.Well they wouldnt be making the big money if this got out.As time went on more companys that was threaten by MJ jump on the band wagon.That's why today the sciences are not aollow to reserach MJ.
