Default Potassium Nitrate

Ok this is what i hear, i wonder if anyone can confirm this. That if used properly potassium nitrate can decrease the internodal distance, making short compact spaces between nodes.

So say if you let the plant stretch out for vegging, and half of flowering, then you hit it with the potassium nitrate, you have nice spaced out branches and a tight little top for a huge thick dense cola.

Can anyone confirm this?

Dont use potassium nitrate, It has too much nitrogen in it. You will burn your plants unless you really cut back on the Nit in your mix.

If you want to add potassium then just add Potash.
This is an issue in todays nutes Thats whay they sell you bigbud Etc to supplement your low potassium. This plant of ours LOVES potassium (K) you can safely push the k up to 400 ppms!

But I see that you bought some greenlighnin. Dont add ANYTHING to that mix. Trust me it has all the K you need. Finish out a crop using the GL You will be amazed. Just add the accelerator once a week to the tank and save the boost till after the stretch The mix is sweet. I also add a little molasses in the last couple of weeks. But I have not noticed any difference when I add that. they say it helps I dont know. Those shots that I put up last night never had molasses.

Just add enough nutes to your desired PPM levels. I dont know your plant and they are all differant. When learning a new strain I slowly push the ppms up until they start to burn then back it down. You have to really watch your girls when doing that. Right know Freds Tower of power is running at 2000 PPMS and NO burn. the plants are loving it.

this would be in a soiless medium, this friend of mine mentioned that and calcium nitrate. i suppose he would counter decrease the N in the normal regiment when applying it, but have you heard of it to cause inter nodal distance to decrease? making shorter gaps between nodes?

i wouldnt mess with the gl, i dont want to sway the results. im not gonna up and add something just because a friend says to.

the only thing i had to add recently was epsom salt, there was a clear magnesium deficiency, but this was before greenlightnin even came along. this is with the future garden nutes. i would imagine it had to do with built up salts in the medium that changed my ppm to an inacurate number, then when i diluted to round it off, it diluted too much magnesium.... this is my theory. and once again this is before greenlightnin came along.

To tighten inter nodal spacing I have heard of adding phosphorus. Thats why they have the additive PK 13/14 But like I said you would only need this if the base NPK was off (to sell more additives).

Phosphorus increases bud sites and
potassium is used by plant to increase bloom or fruit size.

I had the same issue with mag def on Future garden. There nutes are good nutes but are not designed for our plant.

I never heard of anybody adding potassium nitrate to decrease the internodal distance. Maybe he got his science mixed up.

so its completely flushed and emptied and scrubed out with all fresh Green Lightnin nutes, i cant wait to see the results.
