Rep Power: 102 | | Kushy kush.... So advanced nutrients (i think) came out with a new product called "Kushie Kush", not really a micro or macro but more or less a suplement, kinda like Superthrive except this is for flowering. (if you dont already know, never use the thrive durring flowering!!)
First off, I cant help but frown upon these company's lately with all this candy coated junk they are producing that is no more than sugar based starches or some tweaked out B-1 or something. Ya dig? I like my basic full line of Gen Hydro and if I spice it up in any way it's NOT going to be a bottle with big colorfull juicy letters looking like a kids toy from toys r' us rather than something a team of scientists constantly test and work with. Like Gen Hydro.. hehe (c'mon now, anyone that is thinking of doggin' on General Hydro, just remember NASA and DISNEY use that $hit!, go look at their water gardens!) If I was ever to try another brand, It would be Advanced, but I doubt it's ever gonna happen.
Well ok, cut to the chase, this KUSHIE KUSH stuff has got my attention. I went to my hydro shop today and was kinda' suprised that my guy (the owner) was telling me that he was not allowed to even sell it there and it's only available to clinics because of its breakthrough formulations thats supposedly insane for trichome development and turpines. Ya know, the good stuff. I dont know, sounds like a sales scam to make people want it more. But thats my consparicy minded thinking..... so....
Has anyone used this stuff yet?
Has anyones cousins or mothers used it that can tell me it really is a breakthrough wonder for cannabis growers alike?
Thanks!

And the reason not to use Superthrive in flower is because it contains urea which slows or halts flower production...
Peace

C'mon dude, be serious.
If you've got any experience with GH you can't expect us to think you're confused by what Kushie Kush is. It's a bloom booster. Nothing confusing about that.
NASA and Disney use GH? Good for them. Tell me again, how many pounds per light do they get? Oh that's right, they're not growing weed. Next time I'm growing tomatoes for tourists or beans in orbit I'll be sure to stock up on the GH.
The guy at my hydro store assures me he'll be able to get some Kushie Kush. I'm pretty sure that whole thing about being sold at dispensaries only is like that "only on TV" thing. It's not really only on TV. They don't even really expect you to believe it's only on TV when you can buy any of that stuff at Walmart - complete with the "As Seen On TV" label.

is it just me, or did I hit an emotional string with you talking about what nutrients I like to use.
Try going over my post again when your in a better mood. I would be interested in some feedback that makes sense.

Kushie Kush is just a $200 gallon P/K booster. Looks to me like they are trying to capitolize on the Californian obsession with the word "Kush" (a reference to the Hindu Kush mountains in the Paki/Afghani region), by selling another product in their "already way too long and expensive" nutrient program.
If you are providing your plants with all the phosphorous and potassium they need, I see no reason to run this product. if you are not providing your plants with all the p/k they need, I see no reason to run this product as there are more reasonably priced forms of these two nutrients available. In short, I wouldn't waste my time or money if I were you.
My single part base nutrient has enough inorganic p/k in it to start with, and I like to add liquid guano as an organic p/k booster, so the plant has a maximal amount of both organic and inorganic p/k.

Alright i know youre all talking Hydro here and ive never done Hydro. However, when it comes to soil growing there are tons of Nutes on the market and just tons of Cartoony lookin **** that i wouldnt trust near dandelions. I honestly couldnt not imagine getting better results with anything other than Miracle Gro houseplant food for Veg and Tomato plant food for Flower. Just within 2 weeks of popping indoors with the Houseplant food my plants are massive. Many nodes, nice tight growth. Then i flush for 3 days right before flower, hit 12/12 and start introducing tomato plant food. Boom..........i cant imagine getting Better results than what ive gotten the plants literally explode with growth. Then i like to Flush for about 3-4 days before sticking em in 2 days of dark/cold then one more 12/12 cycle to build up nice crystalage.
Always tastes Clean and Sweet with absolutely no nute taste or nastyness.
I think the 2 days of dark makes the plant work overtime to build up a coat (Trichs) and that burns up any trace amounts of nutes.
idk...............i just think the nute market is a ton of overblown hype built to bank on people who never thought about Ganja till Weeds came on TV.
