Rep Power: 119 | | How to get massive buds
I'm going into flowering soon and would like to get everyone's opinion and method you use to get nice fat, dense, and stinky colas. Whatever techniques, nutes, or additives you use I'd like to know about it.

Best suggestion I have is blackstrap molasses and water, and nothing else, for the last 2 weeks at least. I find buds finished like this are soooooo sweet and sticky, with the trichs just sticking to your fingers.

You start by keeping your plants stress free and happy in veg and early flower. Then I use Technaflora SugarDaddy and a touch of magical 2 weeks before harvest then water only the last week!

The molasses is a tried and true method. I am starting a new phototron grow after the mite fiasco and I purchased 3kg of laboratory grade dextrose. The stuff they feed cultures. I am gonna try that in fact I will be using 1/4 teaspoon a gallon throughout the grow. I got it cheap, $15 / 3 kg

Nice score on the dextrose. It would be ideal to get a cheap sugar supplement since these grow shops overprice it.
I remember reading an article on carbohydrates and how it improves growth, flavor, yield, and feeds beni bacteria and fungi. Supposedly they said molasses is good to use except in hydro because it clogs lines easily. It said pure cane sugar was good to use for hydroponics. I've used the berry sweet before and got some yummy buds.

Rep Power: 168 | | Light intensity is key for big buds. You can add all the potion and snake oils you want but if you aren't hammering away at them with ample light you will not recieve the max benefit from such products and will never see truly massive flowers.
good luck everyone

to truly acheive massive buds one must keep every aspect of the grow at a optimum room temp, light, humidity, cleanliness and proper nurishment of plants.all of these play a major roll in massive bud development i think.

A good amount of oxygen in the root zone will help to get bigger yields like with aeroponics. Bigger Roots = Bigger Buds
Has anyone tried using Advanced Nutrients ? I know it is tailored to cannabis' needs, but has anyone seen noticeable difference in yield with its' use?
I remember reading about Sonic Bloom in the Cannabible 2. Where sound frequencies that are emulated which helps the stomata open and improve photosynthesis, transpiration, respiration, and in the end, yield. Jason King usually isn't trying to sell some BS so I will do some more research on this.

The primary driving factor in bud quality is light intensity. Having as much of the bud in the room in good light is key. Of course, all the other factors must be perfected, first--good ventilation (ensuring plenty of CO2), proper temperature control, plentiful water and nutrients, and all the things that keep the plants healthy, such as good circulation, preventive spraying against fungi, insects, and mites.
I personally feel that a little burning (of the leaves closest to the lights) is OK. By overexposing a small amount of plant material, you are ensuring that more parts of the plants get good exposure. Then inverse square law, which tells us that the light intensity 24 inches from the bulb is 1/4 the intensity 12 inches from the bulb, reminds us just how weak our artificial suns are, and can suggest ways to make the most of what we have.
Finally, judicious use of plant growth regulators such as Phosphoload and Bushmaster has proved to enhance bud size and resin production.
