Rep Power: 460 | | ... evolution in the making..? or a stoner moment?
has anyone noticed the amount of times these little beauties are apearing, these and also with 3 branches.
could this be cannabis's responce to our search for the ultimate producer... and as everyone know, with natural selection the plants with the most desirable traits are the ones that go through to the next level.
i think cannabis could be evolving. another reason i mention this is that only the females appear tho carry these trats. I havent heard of a single mail with these characteristics. ie: the males sufices as is. theres no stress on heavy production. the female on the other hand is heavily stressed to produce. could this be their answer to our need for more buds in a way that the plants do stress so much... ?
whoever gets these babys, breed them. and try to interbreed with seeds from other peoples crosses. in an atempt to 'fortify' that particulat trait.
i think its a winner. i could be wrong though. but this strait is becoming quite common. it shouldnt be too hard to give evolution a nudge

I noticed this a few times. I did pollinate a power skunk that had this trait. It was only on a few branches, most only had the normal 2 leaves/buds. I did take a branch that was like that and cloned it then put it in flowering with no veg. It was a beast, it of course had much denser buds at the top and produced much more

i can't remember his name but there is someone over at ICMag.com who is
trying to breed that trifoliate trait into a stabilized line.

quadfoliate seems like it would blow the tri right outta the water. the tri almost always seems like a runt or mutation...Lets see if this one keeps up with the rest!

I had never heard of this till I found out about it on GP, hopefully this is the evolution of cannabis. If I ever find one in my grows I will deffinately breed her to try and make this trait come out.

I saw my first one in '81, a buddy I worked with showed me a "special plant" he had in his yard.....we talked about breeding it but didn' know enough to breed or even grow plain old bi-folate plants.

who on GP currently has one of these? if that/those person(s) is/are willing to sacrifice a bud for the holy grail breeding program. then maybe if we have a few we figure a way to crossbreed them in the search for that particular characteristic... if we cross breed different plant strains with that characteristic then the probability of that trait increases... right? or am i stoned again?

i've no idea.
at first it might not be obvious, and eventually i'd probably use larger outdoor patches to have a highr possibility of finding more for crossing..
who knows

not sure if this has been mentioned but a few people have noticed that romulans and romulan crosses throw out quite a few of these.

what you might try though is to stress one of them until it hermies, then let
it self pollinate and finish.
who knows what magical properties might be contained within the shells of that little experiment! lol
i know this works as i actually did it, albeit from my noob ineptitude, so i know
the seeds are viable. (my young friend InPotITrust is growing some outdoors as
we speak, i'm anxious to see if they are 'feminized')
anyway, lol, just thinkin' out loud, as it were.

I keep the pollen from this plant in a jar... in the dark... Its a year old now so it might not be viable anymore.I havent got the mate for it yet.
