| The age old debate, do seeds from a hermie produce hermies? I've been in this debate several times, and my feelings are simply this: Seeds from a hermie will be feminized or hermies. Usually they will be feminized, the likelyhood of a seed becoming a hermie depends on how easyily the mother was hermied. An easily hermied plant, will pass that trait down. Having said that, this is my experiment, I started with a feminized mazar plant. Besides being one of my favorites, as most of you already know, according to Dutch Passion, there feminized mazar plant, produces a stronger phenotype than does their regular seeds. So I decided to stress this one lady out, and let me tell you, it was NOT as easy as I thought it would be to stress her out. I started her in a DWC grow, and I switched her to soil....and did that 2 more times for a total of 3 times! Still nothing, so I started messing with her lighting schedules, still nothing, so I sent her into flower, and back to vegging, 3 times. It took a while but low and behold, I finally have a hermie! She is presently all full of pollen, and only a couple days into flowering now. The pollen actually started growing on one of her previous attempts to switch her from flower to vegging previously. Anyways, this thread will take a couple months to complete this experiment, gotta flower her now. lol I will keep you updated on how she progress's and how her off-spring produce for me. Think of it....free feminized seeds! Boy oh boy, I'll be one happy camper for sure! Damn mazar really is expensive too. Last time I looked, she was $127.00 for ten seeds. Please feel free to engage in an open discussion here on this topic. Ayways, here are some pictures: ![]() ![]()

| We'll be waiting with baited breath. I'm really looking forward to following your experiment.

| Hermies produce seeds that are, like you said, both female and hermie alike. The seeds are unpredictable and the trait for them to be hermie is always there. It is sort of like rolling the dice on if they will be female or hermie. But good experiment. Isn't it amazing how much is needed to stress out a plant? | ||||||||

| Yeah Mogie, I really had to work hard at it. From what I've gathered, the likelyhood depends alot of the mother plant. Being how hard it was to stress her, my gut says I may end up with a ton of dependable feminized seeds. That would be nice. I could turn in "Johnny Ganja Seed" and walk the country, spreading the wealth as I go! lol Peace

| yep, a lot of the time hermies produce males that reverse, also hermies, but if you reveg some of them they will go completely female. My MTF male to be specific, it is 100% female now.

| Okay guys I got a thing going on here, and wanna see what you think. As I previously explained the plant started life as a feminized mazar. (my pride and joy) As I look at it now, I think it has reversed itself into being completely male. Do you agree? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
