I use frozen pop bottles to cool the reservoir in a hydro system, the only caution I see in using them is don't get them out with your bare hands without immediately washing them off or be prepared for fungus issues under your finger nails and chapped hands from the nutes.
Be careful not to drip the nute juice onto the leaves when you get under the hood or they'll' bleach them out in spots.
Ware rubber shoes in the grow area with the mix of water and electricity
Protect your eyes in the grow room near the lights or get a possible flash burn on your eyes, feels like sand for days.

IMHO, the most dangerous thing about growing cannabis is getting caught. Don't tell ANYONE what you are doing or where you are doing it at. Don't be tempted to give your buddy a quick peek at your grow. Just not worth it. When you harvest, don'y brag about what you grew, just tell anyone that asks where you got it, that you made a new connection. Never respond by saying something like this was your latest harvest, etc.

be careful when you stand up if your grow is in a crawl space or anywhere with a low ceiling. I’ve put a nail in my head to the scull and numerous cuts and scratches doing builds and tending plants. I think I read a post from The Corsican that did something similar not long ago.

I am fine at 5'4" but my honey as 6 ft 1, always brains himself on the low beams in there. I am going to nail or tack those foam noodles you get for swimming and attach them at both ends along the beams to save his head from concussion! They are easy to split with a bread knife. Might just save you from knocking yourself stupid!

Rep Power: 10 | | For me it might be to late for the stupid part, regardless if I hit my head or not. The trick I’ve used in the past is staple x-mas tinsel at risk spots. You’ll either see it or feel it before you use your head as a gonger. The nail in da brain incident happened when I was doing a build at a friends, hadn’t gotten to any safety precautions yet and was trying to get it done quickly. Haste = hole in the head.

I have Uvonair 5000 Plus for rooms up to 5000 cu. ft and I had it on 15 min for every hour and doubled it to every other 15 min and I'm embarrassed to say I threaten my pet birds life when I check to see what the extra 15 min was like I found two rooms away my smallest bird opening its beak and stretching its neck for air.
I immediately put them all (3) outside and open all the windows in the house.
The Ozone change was too much for the space and can be harmful to your lungs and throat and anyone else even 2 or three rooms away.
The 5000 is to much for my space and have to just leave it on for 5 min and hour now far away from people and pets.
If you put one in the grow room it will leave your weed tasteless it works so good.
I recommend a carbon filter and fan over one of these any day because you can leave them in the grow room.

One other thing that can hurt our dear birds, Lumix, is teflon cookware. When it is heated to a certin temperature, (HOT!) it outgases nasty stuff for birds and can prove fatal in small spaces.

Thanks
