ventilation puzzle
I recently fried two of my exhaust fans (cpu) i had on my box. Luckily i have more on hand. Now to the puzzle.
When my old exhaust fans were in use, they pulled out a lot more air than my current fans. When the old exhaust fans and circulation fan were on, and with the intake fan both on/off, the temperature would rise causing me to turn off the intake (didn't mattter if was on/off, same result) and circ for a period of time till the temps lowered.
Now when i installed my new fans they pulled out less air. I kept the intake/circ fan as the same with the old exhaust timing, and noticed that when the intake/circ was on, the temp would lower...even lower than the old fan set-up. But with the intake/circ fan off, the temperature would rise.
I'm not complaining since i can keep circulating the air at a lower temp than previous...i'm just puzzled why this occurs.
