Default need advice on inline fan placement

Ive attached a paint drawing of my setup.

My temps are a bit higher than Id like now that I replaced the flower light with a 600hps and moved the 400hps from flower to veg.

Im currently using a 4" high output canfan for exhaust on both veg and flower.

i went out and bought an inline bathroom vent fan. 70cfm 4.5 sones.

anyhow, the reason for this post is which section should I install the new vent fan? slot 1 or 2?

thanks for your time and thoughts.

Hey Merton how are ya?
I think slot two, but I don't like the set up.
Filters cause a resistance to air flow and where you have the filter it's going to restrict the flow from the bloom room out.
In the vegging room you have no filter to impede the flow so your fan is gonna suck more air from the vegging room. Get my drift?
Put the fan in slot 2 and the filter on the output of the fan.
I will hang for ya.

Default Air

Hey Guys,I dont use a carbon filter on the intake I put it at the end of the line on the exhaust side of the fan. This way I dont have any restriction of air to the lights and it helps pull air into the grow area.I also have a pisce of a filter over the intake of my lights so it keeps the drit and dust out of the light fixture and off the blub.If the y pipe is in the middle and the runs are the same lenght of duct you shouldnt need the second fan.But if it isnt then I would put it in front of the light and blow air into the light and let the 4" fan pull the rest out and exhuaust it out the carbon filter.I think the lights will run cooler this way.Give it a try and see,if not change it around till you get it to do what you want it to.Smotime you got to experment with things to find the best set up for your fans. Here's a pix of my light with a filter on the intake side.It works great for me cause I live where it's real dusty all the time. Peace
