mmm i just thought of a good idea. I have woodshop and Manufactor Tech Shops this semester in school. As far as i can rember from last year The teachers never stop'd anyone from making pretty neer anything.

Now my questions or really asking you lot to help me (if you think it would be a neat project ) design an ideal Grow box. My Original idea
Was to make a horitontal box you know something i could tell the teacher its for liek a t.v stand.

Anyways my original measurements were going to be:

44 in long
28 in high
20 in deep Like from the back of the cabniet to tha front.

I want to keep it so it looks like a tv stand because i need one for when i move out this summer anyways.

mmm. My idea was to split the cabniet so half was for veg half flower. i wasthinking about 20x28x20 for veg so i can fit in 18 in floros and then have my flowering room 28x28x20

But im open for closets too so if anyone else has a design for a grow box Id be VERY happy to see it. And if i end up building it I WILL definatly post tons of photos of it.

Sounds like it could work for vegging, but it does sound kind of small for flowering to me anyway. I was just thinking your pots are going to be a few inches deep, the the lights take up a few more inches, i don't think that will leave much room for your plants. Where you going to fit a oscillating fan? You could try LST, but it might be tight.

What you could do is just make a grow room that looks like a decorative piece, and have that as your project... say you got the idea from aerogarden or something... lol...

And then build something that's a 2 or 3 foot cube attached to a rectangular piece standing up for flower... make it ideal for growing... if they're that cool with it...

if not your idea seems pretty solid...

make a normal closet, just say you dont have closet space and you need to make something to hang your clothes in..pretty simple excuse and simple to make

in my shop days, we actually built a huge hydroponics setup thats still used there today to teach kids about hydroponics.

What i really m,ent was to ask for your ideas i wanted to see what you thought would be a good space for growing. So from squirt and knottyd feedback id say a closet could possibly work better but im not sure yet.

Hobo I wish my teacher would let me build a hydrophonic system but im fairly sure he wouldnt let me lol.

So im not sure sure if i should go wityh a "t.v stand or closet" But from what ive read both could work.

mmm if you lot were going to make either what do you think you would use as deminsions?

Thanks Hobo and your welcome Kronic.I'am planing to build one more cab,this will have co2 injection and a carbon filter on the exhaust.I'am talking to this guy that works at a place where they make plastic tanks and water trough for farms use.If he can build what I want for a res tank and not cost a arm and a leg I'll be happy.What I have learned from this build and grow in this cab and now I'am going to build one with all the buzzers and whistles.Just got to get the money first.
