Default Every grow room should have one

I know some of you already have these, but some don't.

The number one rule of growing is: TELL NO-ONE!

The number two rule is: DO NOT INVITE TROUBLE INTO YOUR HOME!

Following rule #2, I wanted you to look at what hidhut has to offer,
(Please understand GP dosen't make any money at all from hidhut, they just support our site and we support there's. They do fund our contests though, with the nice prizes that you get to take home.)

This is a pretty damn nice 6" carbon scrubber to remove any and all smells that may come from your grow room.

The Carbon Cannon 1 is full to the brim of Virgin Activated Coconut Carbon, these filters knock out any smell.

The Carbon Cannons are the most heavy duty carbon filters on the market- weighing in at 32 lbs- with over 25 lbs of carbon in every filter! The Carbon Canon 1 accomodates a 6" piece of ducting, or a 6" fan. They have a 2" carbon bed depth, are 1' tall and 10" round. There is prefilter to keep dust out of the carbon. You can even refill the carbon when it is exhausted with our very inexpensive bulk carbon. The recommended flow rate is between 100 and 200 cfm for the Carbon Canon 1.

All this for only $99 bucks too!

Looks like a damn good idea to me!

I am not using a scrubber now, but NEED to get one on the exhaust from the veg room, as since the plants in the flower room were so large I had to move the drying cabinet out to the veg room...and BlackBerry stinks up the place! (smells good to us, but others may disagree).

I don'tr eally woory about odors here, but it would be nice to have a "cleaner" smelling garage.

I just noticed an update on there website, the Activated Carbon Filter/Scrubber- Carbon Cannon 2- 6", 400CFM

Double the size and only $20 bucks more, marked down from $169.99!!!!!!
Now that is a deal worth investing in, and very cheap insurance, not to have your neighbors wonder what you are upto.

This is one area when you NEED overkill! I buy the biggest filter I can fit in the space! The last one I bought was taller than my wife! Trust me when I pass gas I need a big filter!

Seriously, I have people here all the time and no one has a clue what goes on beneath us!

I think im gonna go with an ozone generator (which you can also find at HIDhut) for my smell issues. i cant afford the in line fan at the moment to go with it. and i already have bathroom vent fans for intake/exaust.

Put the ozone generator in your exhaust ducting, it will work better that way.

I have to say I don't think EVERY grow room needs odor control. This will no doubt be a controversial statement, but if you vent out all your air in an appropriate spot, you just don't have to scrub it clean.

One example (and where I dump my stink) of an appropriate spot is the top of a 2nd story roof. My stink comes out 25 feet up in the air, with house blocking anyone from getting within another 30-40 feet of it. My (hot and smelly) exhaust comes out that vent and goes up, up and away, being much warmer than the outside night air. You'd have to be hovering above my house somewhere to detect any odor.

But if you can't do that, carbon and ozone imo.

I would suggest a filter from a company called Phresh filters, its comes in multiple sizes and is the same price as the one above, but is guaranteed for two full years. I've looked around and that is about six months longer than most guarantees on filters like that.

the filter doesn't make any noise, except maybe of air moving through it. The exhaust fan is the part that will make noise, I would recommend getting a good one, or one that you can isolate on a rubber mat to cut down on vibration noise. I mounted mine to the wall and you can hear a very faint vibration when it comes on, but nothing major. I've had people in the house when it turned on and nobody noticed.
