I grew some near a dam once, does that count as Hydro?
I know we have some WaterWizards here!
Remember to keep it aimed at noobs like me. I wouln't know
an ebb if it bit me. Actually, not sure exactly what 'ebb'
is even. An explanation of the terms/types with pics would
be cool too.
ANY and ALL info will be treasured.

Well, I sure hope its just peeps waiting till the last min to enter.
This is kind of an important topic as more and more small
growers try this root.
Of course, it would be easier with a little HELP HERE!!
Nothing like trying to learn something from scratch....

I am really surprised that we have not recieved any input in this contest and we have so many hydro growers we have on board, what is going on?
These contests will help new growers, specially this hydro one as more, and more people are using cannabis for many purpose and they have to grow it inside, and in hydro systems
Please, participate and win those great seeds. Think that other members will need your knowledge and experience
Peace

Looks lonely in here....
not sure if this is considered "micro'....but here's a ghetto/home-built ebb and flow that I use for early veg....just after my rapidrooters/clones 'get legs'...
As you can see...it's a tray (this was a $30 unit if i remember but you can use tupperware/etc. if you choose. just remember..as in thse pics...white grows algae easily...as does clear. go dark if you can and HEAT isn't a problem for you. (black is hotter under the light)
396 gph pump....sits in an 18L Tupperware. the key is to get the water level the right height to water the rapid rooter (via how long the pump is on) and have enough water capacity left in the "res" to not run the pump dry. (via a digital timer or a "cycle" timer for precise on/off settings)
Get a REAL drain fitting from a hydro shop/online ($10).. Make sure there's a washer on both sides and it doesn't leak. nothin worse than running water all over the floor and having yer plants die cus you were a cheapskate....LOL
I usually go from a 3" mesh pot to a 6" mesh pot when I see roots coming out of the cup...and i do the same thing and transplant into the 10" mesh pots in the DWC buckets/bloom room when there's roots poppin from the 6"ers.
The clone in the bucket is 3 weeks from rooting on 24/7 lighting...and was just placed in the 10" pot today. 10 days of veg under hps...then i'll flip em...

pic #1 = basic tray/pump/res set up.
pic #2 = pump held out of water with feed tube to tray
pic #3 = clone in rapidrooter being placed in 3" net pot and surrounded by hydroton
pic #4 = adjusting water with timer so water hits the bottom of the rapidrooter/the roots
