| Hi everyone - I just wondered what your thoughts were on using the following method for a DIY stealth set up? My space is very limited, and stealthy a must! I do have a large closet, and found it convenient that these can be stackable. I'd like to do some sort of SOG method, but a very small version of what other more experienced are doing. And, with the nature of my living arrangements, I wanted something stealthy, yet inexpensive. I was thinking of purchasing two of these types of wardrobe boxes... ![]() I feel they would fit quite well in my closet space, and thought since they were stackable, I have the perfect corner for them. One being a flower "room", and one being a mother/vegetation "room". The dimensions and description are as follows: Shorty WardrobeŽ box is a compact, stackable wardrobe box ideal for shirts, blouses, sport coats and jackets. Directly from closet to box, clothing can stay on hangers. Meets UPS shipping requirements. Wardrobe bar is included.
20" x 20" x 45.8" 24" x 20" x 47.8" 24" x 21" x 48" 24" x 24" x 40" I would drill two holes through the bar and add hooks for chains, that way I can raise and lower my CLF lighting rig. And, take advantage of stability of the bar to suspend a fan or two. The boxes could really be considered a shell though, and modded up and reinforced completely on the inside. I can't have it smelling up my house, so I thought about finding cheap paneling, cutting it to size, gluing it to the interior, priming it and finishing with several coats of paint to help seal it and keep the funk in the box. A finishing touch would be corner molding glued along all of the interior dimensions to give the 90 degree corners a curved finish and assure no light leaks. Then apply a couple more coats of paint to seal any cracks between the molding and the paneling, then finish all interior areas with MYLAR for total light reflection. A stealth door can be added so that the wardrobe box really opens from the side for convenience and servicing rather than how it comes stock above. I would also add fresh air holes and some sort of charcoal filter system. Since I'm in there, may as well wire it up right the first time by running little tubes for CO2 using the yeast DIY solution. Since I am using CLF bulbs (many), am I ok with using this box as a shell as far as fire hazard? I will have it lined with paneling and two fans blowing internally. How about size? Honestly, I liked the stackable "feature" above but would I be ok with 24" x 20" x 34" or should I go a bit taller? Wider? I could technically have a side by side system but prefer stacking. That said, I'll lose a little clearance on the top because of the bulbs, and on the bottom because I'm going the flood and drain method. To make a long story short - Am I on to something, or asking to burn down my house? What do you recommend on size? * see my comments above. Any high level THC strains you can recommend that are short and could live in my stackable solution? What your favorite low growing strains that a first timer would have good success with? Any other ideas to improve on my stealth wardrobe box? Thank you!

| if you go that far way not going all the way and use some wooden construction, it is more work but at the advantage of: more stability, durable (you will excess this daily and plants don't do well in a bone dry environment as cardboard needs) and finally less fire hazard as cardboard burns easier then solid wood.

| and on that strain, if you grow SOG, means you clone a mother and only flower its clones after a few days to week veg, then you hardly uses any head space ![]() as strain try maybe good old Afghan, pretty pure old fashion indica that is easy to grow. cloning the strain you will need some cloning hormone, it is not super easy to clone but manageable if you do your job ![]()

| I appreciate all the advice. The reason why I can't build a real box is I don't really have the tools, saws, etc. And, the neighbors would think something was odd when I was constructing boxes in a large single apartment. Whereas, with a "pre-fabricated room" like the wardrobe box would blend in well in my closet space because I have a couple that are quite tall and deep on the insides, and I have several other boxes packed away from past moves so stealth wise, they'd fit right in. I was doing some more measurements around the closets and thought if I went with the box route, I'm going with the taller and slightly wider 24" x 21" x 48" just to ensure the extra breathing room on the inside. I even thought about trying to find large speakers or a dresser that could be gutted so I stopped by a resale shop the other day and didn't really find anything. And, having two dressers (a veg and a flower room) would take up a lot more space that I just don't have. I'm going to give it a try with the larger box (24" x 21" x 48") and just monitor the heat hourly during the first couple weeks. I wouldn't do it if I were away for extended periods of time, the fact that I work at home puts me more at ease. And, since I'll be lining it from the inside, I would think paneling would absorb any heat that's not reflected by the mylar. Besides, I'll have a good four to six weeks doing vegging to monitor heat etc. to ensure all is well. Also wanted to add I live on the 3rd (top) floor of my building so I get a great cross flow of air and it stays very comfortable.

| I picked up a Black & Decker SpaceRite Wall and Base Cabinet for a veg cabinet to house a pair of mothers. Its made of sturdy plastic and only needs a coat of paint on the inside to light-proof it. Not a bad deal for $50 at the local home improvement store. ![]() -D

| Interior: 33"H x 12"D x 27"W Took a quick pic as well to show everything situated inside. I ran the power cord for the cabinet to a socket box inside. There is a fan in the front left door on the bottom for intake and a high-flow exhaust fan in the top right. Its working really well for my two soon-to-be bonsai mothers. -D
