Agreed always be careful when plugging in stuff. With two 400w and misc fans, I think you should be under the 15 amp limit as jangel says. But keep an eye out. See how they do when you first plug them in. Remember that in your house many of the lines have multiple outlets (like the kitchen or living room will all be on one line). So although you may have the 15 amps covered fine with your grow equipment (depending on if the two 'rooms' are on the same line), you may also want to check out to see if anything else is on that line. For example: while I am way under the 15 amps for my grow line, An outlet in the room that hooks up to my laptop/printer is also on that line, so it must be taken into account. Make sure any other appliances that are on the same line are taken into account. We dont want you plugging in a TV or radio and blowing the fuse.
Also a personal side note: Make sure you know exactly what lines your power is on. I blew one once because my girlfriend plugged in her blow dryer and straightening stuff for her hair. BAH women with all their products! At least she looked good as I stormed into the room yelling.... ;-)
