You could make a cooltube like this one Clean, Easy Cool Tube Tutorial - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums It uses a Corning Bake-a-Round, made from pyrex, you can find one on Ebay. Hope that helps.

I too am looking for perspex, even went to Lucite site and cannot develop a source.
Does anyone know of a perspex retailer ... anywhere ???
I've been bidding on Pyrex Bake A Round for weeks now and unless one is capable of paying upward of $25 + shipping, Pyrex is not on the table.
Thanks for ANY info on Perspex, and unfortunately I can't find a DIY on this site concerning the use of Perspex

Rep Power: 201 | | Good move blackburn. A air cooled hood is just as effective and way cheaper to make. Cool tubes are great in tight spaces but, not everybody is that tight for growing space. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Zigzagman For This Useful Post: | |

Hey ileso,
Thanks for the reply. I no longer require plastic that will melt ( I could have researched that a bit more ! ) as I managed to win a pyrex bake a round for $20 including shipping.
Unfortunately, it looks like I'm about to win two more and have no idea what I'll do with them .... If ya know someone lookin to build a DIY cooltube, have them message me and I may be able to help them out !!!!
Regards and Best Wishes,
Feez

As it turns out I did win a bid on a Pyrex Bake-A-Round. $25 incl shipping. Check out the "DIY cool-tube" tutorial somewhere in this thread. I have had to modify my set-up as compared to that article. I've been a lucky dog thus far ..... picked up a blower at St. Vincent DePaul for $4.50, no name plate data. Pulled it apart and the only info is on the motor stator, and I'm unable to cross it to anything online that would give me the blower specs, but this sucker wants to pull your hand in at 5" away from the 6" inlet. Will post further on this but I think this is the wrong thread. I'll post more on the afore-mentioned "DIY Cool-Tube" thread when I find it again.

Had I checked the bottom of this very page I'd have noticed the 'similar threads' box and seen the thread I was referring to: Build your own cool tube for under $30.00 So I'll head over thata way and continue.
