Default Odor control : carbon filter plans?

Ive seen some people link to DIY carbon filters, the ones with a computer fan for drying/grow boxes- unfortunately I cant find an active link. The ones online are too expensive, and I'm sure I could make it. (thats half the fun anyways!) Anyone have a link or know how to make these? I wanna basically make a 1-2ft filter with a 6" exhaust.

I know there is a thread somewhere on here, it basically involves placing a household fan on top of a bucket with vent holes in the middle of it, with odor control beads filling the bucket.... http://www.greenpassion.org/diy/297-...g-machine.html ... not exactly a carbon filter, but it does the job and its much cheaper...

I am working with confined space, a large bucket and giant fan are not necessary nor practical. Im just using a stealth cabinet 2'x2.5'x3'.

All you have to do is pass the air threw activated carbon.
Get your self some PVC pipe, a P.CFan, And some carbon. You will also need some thing to keep the carbon from falling out of the pipe. Cotton stuffing works well for this.
Real easy, Fan on one end drill in some long screws to hold the cotton fill from bunching in to the fan about a 3inch's away. Pack with a layer of cotton then your carbon then some more cotton and throw a few more long screws threw the end to hold the cotton in the end and your set.. Instead of screws a thick metal screen can be used.
Hows that get the Idea??

hey shaman, could you possibly use stuffed up dryer sheets instead of cotton.. i was actually thinking of stuffing my exaust duct with some dryer sheets in an attempt to filter the smell, like a "spoof" (a papertowel roll with dryer sheets stuffed in it to blow smoke through so it doesnt smell as much). do you think thats worth the effort to try?

HAHAHA!! you know back in the days I used dryer sheets on the back of my desk fan. Turn the fan on and place the sheet on the back of the fan so the air is sucked threw it, That worked pretty good.
Ya I don't see why it wouldn't work to help with the small..
