Well, i'm finally in the new crib and just as i suspected, it's MUCH smaller than my old
place and without all my beautiful closet space so i've been a busy bee this last week
trying to complete my new mother cab.
Frankly, it's turning out way nicer than i expected as i'm really nothing more than
a handy hack, lol. Another thing i'm greatful for is that all my mother plants survived
the move and are still patiently waiting in the closet under some CFL's while i struggle
to prepare their new home.
Anyway, i'm almost finished and Cox finally reconnected me to the world again, plus, i've
been taking a lot of pics to document the build so i figured now would be a good time
to start a new thread and give everyone a good laugh at my struggles, lol.
anyhow, lol, it's late and i'm wiped so i'ma gonna just post up some pics and then it's off to bed.
so, in the immortal words of the Governator, 'I'll be back'!

As i am just waking up and working my way through my first cup of java,
here are a few more pics for you all to look at while i struggle to regain
consciousness, lol.
btw, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them.

thanks hon, and i can't tell you how relieved i am to be finally done with my move!
it's been frustrating though, partly because i'm trying to squeeze 7 rooms of 'stuff'
into 3 and 1\2 rooms, lol, talk about a tight fit.
plus, it's been made even more frustrating because my daughter and her 15 month
old son have been coming by a lot so i've had to move everything from one room
to another, ...multiple times. ...so many times in fact that i can't find anything, lol.
anyway, once i find my hole saws and the 5 inch axial fan i plan on using for
exhaust, i can finally finish this cab once and for all.
btw, in regards to this build, i've not engaged in much commentary as i felt that
the pictures would do a better job of explaining things than i could with just my
words, ... even though i'm full of them, lol.
in any event, to explain my thought processes a bit for those that don't know me,
i'm a mid 50's, disabled vet living on pennies and i've been blazing the ganja now since
1968 but i've only been growing it for about 2, 2.5 years and i got to tell ya, growing
has become my most favorite passtime, i just love growing better bud than i've smoked
in years! and tending my plants has truly become a labor of love!
lol, it's even better when i smoke with some friends of mine that i've been smoking
with for 30, 40 years now and to hear them say that my bud is the best they
have ever smoked in their lives! ...they just don't know i grew it in my closet, lol!
lol, which brings me to this build because, since i've moved, i've lost my closet!
i should also explain that i'm not a commercial grower and that this has never been
about money, with the caveat that i didn't have any, lol, which forced me to settle for
middies, and also to sometimes do without for days at a time while i waited to hook up!
which is how i got into growing in the first place, or rather that's the 'why' and not
the 'how' as the true inspiration that made me pop my first bean, ...well, lol, i digress
and that's a tale for another time, suffice it to say that my purpose has always
been to lower my costs and to elevate the quality of the bud that i smoked, period.
i'd also like to say that i have succeeded beyond my wildest dreams, thanks, in
part to much help from many fine people here at Green Passion and a couple of
other sites, plus experience, there is absolutely no substitute for experience,
you won't learn how to grow quality bud until you start poppin' beans man! ...
...

Does the back slide off? How do you get into it? (Or do you?) It looks beautiful btw! Makes me want to build something new that is a bit stealthier...
lol, nah, the back is hard mounted, my access is through the top, like the lid on a hope chest!
wait 'til you see it, it looks way nicer than i had originally envisioned!
and thanks, Smoke, you might not realize it but it was your build that inspired
this cab! i just took it to this level because i had had 2 years to
think about how and what i wanted and i knew that whatever i built was
going to be permanent!

Yay! Inspiring people!

The top down "gravity" approach is nice. I think that makes it stealthier/easier than trying to fashion a door or something.
thanks Smoke and yeah, that was what settled the argument for me and it really
is much stealthier with this setup. doing a door would have been a major PITA! lol

Nice start on the inside, what's the white material in the cab?
Thanks
do you mean the white material between the inner and outer walls or the white coating
material inside the cab?
either way, the white material between the walls is foam board and it's meant to
insulate and muffle the cab.
and the inner surface is painted with 2 coats of thinned out flat white paint as a primer,
followed by 2 coats of elastomeric roofing patch which is a sealer coating made for trailers
and such (it's like a very thick paint which is rubberized so it's waterproof, durable, reflective
and mold and mildew resistant), which was followed by 2 coats of the elastomeric paint
thinned out with regular flat white paint.
all things considered, it should hold up very well!

OK, it look cleanly made, I ask the same in tiny mighty thread, disregard
Thanks!
