I'm building a drip system for the veg stage, ebb flow for the flowering stage do i need to add air stone in both reservois?

I am sure you do but wait until the hydro experts chime in OK! oxygen is a good thing.

Mornin Pv1, Any time you have water that will stand it will loose oxygen. It is wise to provide oxygen all the time. So yes, make it a habit for any Hydro setup to incorporate air stones. Luck and Life.

FWIW: I tried growing maze in my drip system without an air stone and I developed a minor mold issue. After putting an air stone in the bucket for the second experiment with maze, mold was no longer a problem.

So, I'd say use one. I'm using one for the weed grow now and everything looks nice and healthy. For $10 it's good insurance.
