How To Make Your Own Resin Hash

I found this on another site and thought it was good for a dry spell...

Got a pipe you cant seem to get the rest of the resin out and in a hell of a dry spell, im not taking credit for this idea, but i havent seen or heard it before till i just tried it, so here goes.

Step:1- items needed
1- a medium sized metal pot(adjust size to pipe)
2- coffee filter
3- metal sifter
4- a dirty pipe
5- tongs
6- paper towel
7- razor blade
Step:2- fill pot with water and put pipe in slowly, dont just drop it.

Step:3- bring water to a good boil while hovering over the pot to
breath in some really relaxing, extra breatheble steam.

Step:4- with your tongs take grab the pipe and move it around turning the
carb and hole that you hit it on upwards to relase the resin.

Step:5- after about 5 minutes of boiling, bring it down to a simmer and let
pipe rest for about 2, then repeat step 4.

Step:6- turn off the stove and while the water is cooling down the resin
thats floating on the top should slowly sink

Step:7- while its sinking put the coffee filter in the metal sifter and hold
over your sink, pour the whats in the pot thru the coffee filter
SLOWLY.

Step:8- now that all the resin is in the coffee filter and it should be quiet a
bit, take the coffee filter out carefully and let sit on your counter
top on some paper towels to absorb moisture quickly.

Step:9- let dry to a thick gooey resin, scrape together with the razor blade and roll together with your index finger and thumb and place in your nice clean bowl.

i just thot this up and tried it and i have an amazingly up high, its a hell of a lot easier than it sounds on paper or screen for this matter lol. but like i said im not takin any credit for being the first to do this but i havent heard or seen anyone else do it.

Ah scrapping the resin...I remember that....sounds like a great method for that...but be advised if your lung health is a concern...as it may be for MMJ users...resin has many unhealthy combustion products like tars and various compounds that are fairly nasty for cells...you get that smoking also but not as much....still Resin Hash sounds like a great alternative when you run dry

too many times i have had to scrape resin.. usually i try to only use the build up in the bowl piece itself.. i have cats and hair somehow tends to get INSIDE the bowl and stick to the resin so usually i dont even bother with the inner goop(unless im really needing a pick me up). what i normally do is just flip the bowl over and heat it up with my lighter for a couple seconds then just push the build up on the side walls of the bowl to the bottom. its usually a less gloppy resin since its closer to the flames when you smoke so it doesnt really clog the air ways when you take a hit. a few 20's equal a few decent hits for me lol. enough to tide me over till the next day normally.

if i want to clean my glass pipes i boil em out good or submerge em in an alcohol (either isopropanol or ethanol - both work great) and in a tough case i add some salt, a little shake and you done.

Just my 2 cents on cleaning glass pipes and as scott put it so well: smoking resin is not to health

and no matter how good the weed was that you smoked in the pipe the resin taste like garbage but it sounds like an safer method than using gas line antifreeze (99%alcohol) to clean pipes and bongs

what is sooo unsafe about that method, as long as you avoid to ligth the fumes it is safe. If you feel touch with the method do it outsides in the backyard so that the fumes get volatilize away by the wind. quit toking for 3 minutes and you are do with cleaning everything.
