HOMEMADE HONEY OLI EXTRACTOR/ butane extractor

THIS IS A SCE EXTRACTION WITH BUTANE GAS
it is commonly known under the alias "HONEY OIL EXTRACTION". basically it is nothing else as is done with decaffeinated coffee besides that nitrogen is used in that application and we going to use butane which more or less easier to handle.

the stuff you going to buy for this:
-heavy walled PVC drain pipe with threaded ends, about 4-8" if possible
-PVC end caps, also threaded
-some butane cans
-maybe some fitting O-rings to seal the pipe off, some silicone and crazy glue, SAFETY GLASSES and gloves.

THIS SHOULD NOT BE BUILD FROM METAL DO TO SPARKS, ONLY METAL THAT WOULD BE SAVE IS BRASS!

START BY PUTTING YOUR SAFETY GLASSES ON! NO GLOVES AS LONG YOU ARE WORKING WITH A DRILL!!!!

• get a PVC drain pipe with threaded end caps, see that this pipe isn't longer as 8" if possible. for a longer pipe the pressure of a normal butane can is too low to work well. perfect is a 4" tube actually.
• In one of the PVC end caps, drill a single small hole in the center. This hole should be correctly sized to snugly receive the little outlet nozzle of your butane can.
• glue the rubber nozzle that comes with the butane can centered over the hole you drilled. if you have fix it further with some silicone. DO THIS OR MOST OF YOUR BUTANE WILL GO PAST THE HOLE AND FREEZE OUR HAND!!!
• In the other end cap, drill a group of 5 or 6 small holes clustered in the center (like a pepper shaker).
• After putting a piece strong coffee filter, cut into the dimension of the inner tube dia, inside it for filtration, put the end cap with several holes on one end of the pipe. then screw it on, this will then be the bottom of the thing.
• maybe get fancy and put a O-ring seal on both ends under the caps
• Fill the pipe up with plant matter that has been pulverized into a fine powder. get it as fine as you can to create as much surface as possible! You want it filled, but not packed down.
• screw the top end cap on the pipe.
• Find a location outdoors with a decent breeze. You want these butane fumes to be quickly carried away. Seriously.
• Mount the pipe (single hole-side up) over a vessel that can hold a 1/4 gallon+, that to avoid any spills. Position the bottom end of the pipe immediately over (1-2") the receiving vessel to eliminate splatter loss.
• Turn the butane gas can upside down and dispense the gas into the pipe via the single top hole. A whole 8-oz can takes about 10-12 seconds to evacuate. Be brave, swift, and careful. !!!NO SMOKING/SPARKS/FIRE AROUND YOU, this thing is basically a pipe bomb right now!!!
• after charging the butane down the extractor it takes a minute or two till all the butane is thru. In the meantime keep your thumb on the top hole to prevent it from exiting thru this one!

Over approximately five to eight minutes, the butane extract will finish draining from the pipe to there receiving vessel. Maintain caution with the pipe, however, since there is a lot of residual butane still evaporating from within the pipe (notice the stream of fumes coming from the top hole). When it slows down to a drop every few seconds, you can tap on the top hole with your finger and it will help push the last of the liquid butane out (or one can gently blow into the top hole to do the same thing).

Being very low-boiling and volatile, the collected butane will likely begin boiling at ambient temperature.
The receiving vessel will gradually frost up as the butane cools it down, slowing down its rate of evaporation, but you can speed by putting a hot-water bottle under the container. Watch the butane start bubbling madly with the increase in temperature and marvel at its low boiling point. Again, be doing this outdoors with a nice breeze! It takes about 30 minutes or so to allow the butane to evaporate, or quicker if you help it along. You are left with a deep amber, almost orange oil of amazing purity.
Before you can college the hash you have to wait till all, i repeat, ALL BUTANE IS GONE!!! An easy way to get the honey then from the one container to the next is to solve the honey lightly with some high prof Isopropanol or Ethanol, that can slowly vapor of in a second container without blowing everything up.

DO NOT TRY TO FILL THE HASH SOLVED BY BUTANE INTO A LOCKED CONTAINER, THAT THING WILL BLOW IN NO TIME AND ALL YOUR HASH IS GONE AND YOU WILL END UP PAPERED BY SHIVERS!!!

The final product is a deep yellow-amber oil of the highest quality, incredibly pure and potent. It's amazing how this method extracts only the good fraction and leaves the junk in the weed. But that's exactly what it does.

by the way, i going to experiment a bit soon with this if not a drop of Glycerin might make it more honey like but keeps it still smokable. I haven't checked it so far but since Glycerin is used on tobacco too it might work.

Nice method but does it make the hash nicer than other safer methods

it is safe as long the one using is some common sense, if you use this it as safe as a nap on th couch... really, if your not plant dumb it is super safe.


and it is safer then the lone iso extraction since isoproanol will not just blow if things turn ugly, first the vapors blow and then the liquid will burn after it is spread everywhere, also will the vapors stay more around the source our saddle around this source on the ground.
Butane rise compared to this quickly, and i quiet fast dispersed by air to a point where explosion is possible. if this method is done outdoors and no source of ignition is around it is as safe as a ride in a car without wheels, what should happen there?!

hack, i just keep possible danger method in red highlights so every kid that stumbles across won't end up in a fireball, you should see the manuals i wrote specially for units that should be used within the states those things stick if you do it to often

so don't mind it, the same shit is sold for 50 bucks in hydro stores for "plant-oil-extraction", sure it is for that *lol*, but no, if it is build the way i instructed it should hold up the forces that household butane can can produce and is almost fool prove, only the president should fumble around with that:boxing:

holly shit, i been trying all weekend long to by the nipple-pipe and some caps to build a second extractor as tutorial for the forum, you won't believe the shit they told me add all hardware stores i went: "police told them not to sale any treaded fittings to general public do to terror thread, islamic terrorist could use them for bomb making" sure there is one sitting ready at every corner buying up pipes and shit...

by saturday noon i found one pool builder that would sell me brass fittings in 1 1/2" by 6" but those would add up to manufactured honey maker. so besides that the one is about 1 1/2h away from me the pricing was quiet a shock too. maybe i will be more lucky on monday... here as to be a cheaper source for such brass pieces then this one...

no luck yet, the parts i had in mind are still no available here as their sale posses a "terror risk" - major BS if you ask me but what can i do...


i might build one from galvanized steel piping parts later this week or brass if i get some, but i can't promise anything yet as i have to check if i get all those parts. if so, i will add some pictures here on the weekend.

the only safe method of extraction is to do it with ice - but this method yields less. an other method would be to shake em off as kief - but again low yield here or high impurity.

all other methods involve solvents that are highly flammable, some are toxic or carcinogenic as isopropanol for example - but as long safety percussions are taken they pose no big danger. just leave them vapor off for a long enough time and don't try to drink isopropanol and you should be fine

okay, i bought a 8" long, 1" pipe nipple with double threading and 2 end cabs - you don't believe what a procedure this was to buy this thing
first they wanted to see my ID and take copies "for their records" - sure, sh*t me - as we live in such dangerous times with all the Islamic terrorists crawling allover: BS!
Well, after 30 minutes i had my part and kept my identity confidential - not buying a gun here so leave me alone...

and now i have to wait till either my stuff is in reach again or the shop at work is back to function as my company is moving right now as well.

my plans are to drill 5-6 1.5mm holes in the bottom cap and thread a the hole in the top cap for a bike valve in order to keep the butane in the tube and don't let it exit thru the top again.

Will the taste from the metals will carry over if you use anything other than brass or pvc.The gass emitted while welding galvanized pipe is toxic,Although it is used for water delivery.
