I am going to attemp to make a small veg/clone box. I got the idea from your DIY section http://www.greenpassion.org/showthread.php?t=225 and I think this will make a wonderful addition to my hobby (Untill I can get a real veg room)

Before I get started, I need a little hep. I want to make this AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE (I know... You only get out of it, what you put into it but I will eventually have the right set-up ONEDAY,) so I dont want to invest too many un-nessary $'s into this. HOWEVER... With that being said, I MIGHT want to pass this on as a gift to someone once I'm finished with it, So it can't be TOOO Junked up!

The small box I seen had used CFL's (8 23Watt... 4 blue spectrum, 4 red) and was used to veg and bloom 1-2 plants in. If I was going to pass this on as a gift, I would want that option (to take it through harvest). However, I will only be using it to break seedlings and veg. I want to start a perpetual type thing and maybe try some cloning, so It only needs to be big enough to veg out 2-3 plants at a time (i'm guessing) First Question is conserning the lighting. The Original box used 2 4Bulb vanity light bars (13.95 Each= $30.00) and 2- 4pack CFL/ 1 box blue 1 box warm (10.00 Each= $20.00) So Far, I'm looking at $50 in CFL lighting alone (Plus the 2 vanity bars need to be wired together and to a cord) so...
Is there any Better lighting choice for this small set up? Any cheaper way of installing the cfl's besides spending $30 on 2 vanity light bars? Lowe's Home Improvement: Buy Kitchen Cabinets, Paint, Appliances & Flooring

here is a 4-plant aero cloner i use that cost me under $20.00 to make. I use straight water with a touch of superthrive and a little rooting powder mixed in and I have had 100% success rate with it. I have had a few successful runs rooting cuttings with JUST water using this. If this is what your leaning torwards then feel free to PM me for parts and details on what you need to make this. hope this helps..

Feel free to send me any plans/parts list. It looks interesting. What lighting are you using on them? I've NEVER cloned anything before ,so this is all new to me! I do still need a seperate veg room/cab though too?
