these run on 12V DC - get a door bell transformer or an old PC towers transformer to run this. there is no way to rewire the thing to 120V AC.

You need a power supply from a PC. AT or ATX, either will do. You can wire up the ATX power supplies to run all the time too.

You can do that, but you would have to buy them that way. The regular PC fans won't run on 120v.

Thanks | Yes, it is a very easy process, I have one.
All you need to do is get an old Cell Phone Charger that is the same DC as the computer fan, splice the wires together and plug it in.
Look on the cell phone charger to see if it operates on 12V DC, there are chargers that operate on other voltages so check before you cut the wires !

Radio Shack or any other electronics store should carry adapters. They come in a variety of voltages; most PC fans run on 12v. Get one with an amperage rating high enough to support your fan - most PC fans run less than .25 amps. Then it's as simple as wiring the fan to the adapter.

Instructions on wiring here (Post #9): DIY stealth Rubbermaid growbox | I found out that they have one for straight house power, eliminates the adapter. I got the 115VAC one that needs below so I'll take it back |
