Default DIY 6" extraction/exhaust fan

High all, I found this at ICMG a while back. I'd like to thank 'the dopiest' for his posting it..

I'm coming up one extraction fan short and am going to try it today/tomorrow.

1st is I found this Stanley fan today at ACE hardware for $61 and a similar one at Lowes for $50.. and 2nd, you have to gest a couple ducting adapters ($10 or so)..

You might have to loggin there to see the picks.. and you need some imagination.. but not allot..

Stanley Blower Fan Mod - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I've heard these Stanley blowers and they aren't real loud but they talk about moving 1200cfms on low, so we'll see..

I'll post the reults in a day or 2.

I have used many a Stanley fan over the years an d i can tell you a few things i have learned about the marvelous little things.

1. They go on sale super cheap in the fall, I usually pick them up 25-35$
2. All the adapters and reducers are totally unnecessary in most cases, 6" flex duct can easily be taped and zip tied to the intake and if you try hard enough you can slip it over the exhaust.
3. Don't trust the CFM Stanley claims, not sure what they really are but no way that the numbers they list are what you will actually get, Especially with the back pressure of ducting/Filters.
4. They are AWESOME!!! There is nothing at this price point that as good. I have run them years of near constant running and I have yet to experience a failure of a Stanley blower.

Just left walmart they had the stanley blower on sale for 36$ The only way they get cheaper then that is if they don't sellout fast enough at 36$ so if your store has a bunch of them wait a week or two and see if they drop.
