well opus420 put my attention to composting again and i did some googling

But first his video as it hold some good info already:

And then at a great link for ideas on how to build something better then he has in his yard - my composter doesn't leave roots to remain after 6 month:D
G6957 How to Build a Compost Bin, MU Extension
also a interesting simple to build drum composter
How to Build a Tumbling Composter - wikiHow

(i must admit i bought my last one, so it is a black plastic one but it doesn't hold together if filled... - so i going to build me one of these now too)

Thanks for the link, GN. I have a bin almost exactly like the video, but I'm going to make one of the barrel tumblers this spring. btw, I never worry about the perlite. I use it for other houseplants and have even mixed new perlite in parts of my garden, so it's all over anyway. If LEO tries to use that as an excuse for a search, I'll be more than happy to argue my case in court.

they gave em away for free?! okay, that is a odd one - must of the time they are extra picky to get em back as they are mostly rented or least or something like that... i was looking for some to make a floor for a new green house but they always told me they have non to spare - guess you got the female advantage

We have one business here that stacks them up outside for people to come and take. They have been doing this for years. Thought it was like that everywhere.
