A house in Pine Hills was raided for drugs Saturday morning and deputies say the way Orange County Deputies found it was out of the ordinary.
Investigators say deputies were seaching for a suspect in the area around Peachwood Lane at around 3:45 Saturday morning when they smelled a strong odor of Marijuana coming from a home on the street.
“While the deputies were walking around the house, they smelled the odor of cannabis," said Sgt. Fred Roberts with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say they were originally chasing someone who bailed out of car with a stolen tag on Peachwood Lane, when they came across the smelly house.
Authorities say K-9 units and deputies picked up on the scent.
They say plastic bags were also covering the windows which further indicated it was a grow house.
Eyewitness News spoke to neighbors who said authorities woke them up around 5 in the morning.
“There was like five cops over that way. Our neighbors were out,” said a neighbor.
Investigators say they found twenty pounds of marijuana plants, pills and a some guns.
Deputies arrested two people, a man and a woman in connection with the home.
As far as the driver of the car that led deputies to the grow house, they are not sure if that is the man they arrested.
They say they did not identify the driver.
