Rep Power: 47 | | Question for Canadians
Hey I was just reading a thread about how one of the fellow members, jordan, was in trouble. (turned out to be a false alarm)
In the thread though, one person said something that really confused me, and I'd like clarrification if anyone would be willing to help. The one member said he though smoking weed was legal in Canada, by the way that jangel responded to him, it sounded like this was in fact true. I totally thought it was illegal myself. Could someone please clarify the laws around smoking if you are not a medical card holder?

there is much happening on the legal front in Canada, but as far as recreational smokers, if you are caught selling it is still illegal and you will be prosecuted. To understand what is going on in this war, check out NORML.CA
Also, growing with intent to sell, and possession with intent to traffic are different than medical laws. It is very mixed up and unstable as far as knowing what to expect in whatever area you are in. It seems also a recent case in the news with a man charged with 4.5 grams has struck down some laws, for the judge stated the case was unconstitutional. Just google "Canadian marijuana laws" and there are tons of things that come up.
If you figure it out, let ME know.
peace
